Analyst, Commercial Lending

CMLS Financial is seeking an Analyst, Commercial Lending to act as a key liaison between our Originations team and a diverse portfolio of investors. You will drive business volume by matching new commercial opportunities with investor liquidity, performing preliminary credit assessments, and maintaining real-time pipeline visibility to ensure seamless deal execution.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Analyzing and interpreting financial data and credit information on real estate assets and borrower’s, including underwriting property cash flow analysis, valuing real estate assets and assessing suitability.
  • Maintaining ongoing interaction with both internal and external stakeholders to ensure thorough underwriting and funding of the loan.
  • Working as part of a team in the completion of mortgage presentations, meeting pre-funding conditions and investor instructions to meet all funding requirements within tight deadlines.
  • Staying current with market information and commercial mortgage market trends.
  • Providing flexible support for emerging priorities and day-to-day team tasks.


Skills and Qualifications:

  • Post-secondary education in finance, economics, real estate, business administration, or a related field.
  • Minimum one (1) year of experience in commercial real estate underwriting, valuation, risk, or credit analysis.
  • A genuine passion for commercial real estate and understanding of financial and statement analysis.
  • Proactive and self-driven approach to work, demonstrating the ability to independently manage projects from inception to completion while consistently meeting deadlines.
  • You love collaborating and sharing knowledge, but you also own your commitments and deliver results independently.
  • Highly results-driven with an unwavering attention to detail.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Excel to create comprehensive data analysis and presentations.

55,000 - 70,000 CAD per year (Hybrid (Vancouver, British Columbia, CA))
