About this Position


Our Employee Experience (EX) practice is looking for a Solutions Engineer to support our sales and consulting teams in delivering best-in-class Rippling HR/Payroll software solutions. In this role, you will play a key part in engaging prospects, conducting discovery, and delivering tailored demonstrations that highlight the value of Rippling in streamlining HR, payroll, benefits, and workforce management processes.


As a trusted advisor to both clients and internal stakeholders, you will help bridge the gap between business needs and technical solutions, ensuring our customers understand how Rippling can transform their HR and payroll operations.



Job Responsibilities


Solution Design & Discovery

  • Partner with Account Executives to conduct deep discovery sessions, uncovering client pain points and business objectives.
  • Recommend Rippling HR/Payroll solutions tailored to HR and payroll compliance, automation, and employee lifecycle management.
  • Use a consultative approach to translate client requirements into practical system configurations.

Product Demonstrations

  • Develop and deliver engaging, customized demos that showcase how Rippling solves workforce management challenges.
  • Tell compelling, industry-specific stories that resonate with HR and finance leaders.
  • Address client concerns by clearly articulating product capabilities and benefits.

Technical & Functional Expertise

  • Provide guidance on best practices for HR/payroll implementations, compliance, and process optimization.
  • Assist in creating technical proof-of-concept solutions tailored to customer needs.
  • Collaborate with implementation teams to ensure smooth customer onboarding and adoption.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Work closely with sales, consulting, and implementation teams to ensure solutions align with customer expectations.
  • Provide feedback to product teams on customer needs and potential feature enhancements.
  • Support marketing initiatives with thought leadership, webinars, and industry presentations.

Client Success & Enablement

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with prospective and existing customers.
  • Offer consultative guidance throughout the sales cycle to ensure client confidence in Rippling’s capabilities.
  • Stay informed about HR/payroll industry trends, compliance changes, and competitive solutions.


Job Requirements


HR & Payroll Domain Expertise

  • 3+ years of experience as a Solutions Engineer, ERP Consultant, or Pre-Sales Specialist, preferably within the HR tech, payroll, or workforce management space.
  • Strong understanding of HRIS, payroll processing, benefits administration, compliance, and workforce automation.
  • Experience working with mid-market and enterprise-level clients.

Technical & Presentation Skills

  • Proven ability to conduct compelling software demonstrations that align with business needs.
  • Strong ability to simplify complex technical concepts for non-technical audiences.
  • Proficiency in sales methodologies like Solution Selling or Selling Through Curiosity.

Other Requirements

  • Excellent communication, problem-solving, and consultative selling skills.
  • Ability to travel within North America as needed.

Compensation and Benefits


Base salary range: $95,000 to $125,000.

This position is also eligible for commissions in accordance with the terms of the Company's plan.
