About this Position


As a Pre-Sales Solutions Engineer within our Sage Intacct Practice, you will play a key role in driving new business by partnering with the sales team to design and present tailored ERP solutions to prospective clients. This role is focused on delivering high-impact, industry-specific solutions for organizations.

 

You will act as a trusted advisor during the sales cycle—leading discovery sessions, designing customized demonstrations, and articulating how Sage Intacct can solve real-world business problems for finance teams in complex, multi-entity environments.



Job Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with Account Executives to support the full pre-sales cycle—from discovery and solution design to tailored product demonstrations and proposal development.
  • Conduct detailed discovery sessions to uncover business requirements, financial workflows, and pain points across a variety of industries—with a focus on Construction, Healthcare, Education, and Nonprofit, among others.
  • Design and deliver compelling, vertical-specific product demonstrations that show how Sage Intacct delivers measurable outcomes.
  • Translate complex business requirements into clear, scalable solution architectures and configuration strategies.
  • Build strong relationships with prospects, establishing credibility as a subject matter expert in both ERP technology and vertical use cases.
  • Support RFP/RFI responses, solution mapping, and scoping discussions with a consultative mindset.
  • Collaborate with implementation and product teams to ensure proposed solutions align with delivery capabilities and evolving product functionality.
  • Create reusable demo scripts, proof-of-concept configurations, and best-practice templates tailored to each target industry.
  • Stay current on industry trends, product updates, and competitive positioning to ensure our solutions remain compelling and relevant.
  • Assist with go-to-market strategy development and solution positioning for each vertical.


Job Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience in a Pre-Sales, Solutions Consulting, or ERP Implementation role, ideally with Sage Intacct or a similar cloud ERP solution.
  • Deep understanding of at least one or more of the following industries:
    • Construction (job costing, project billing, WIP reporting)
    • Senior Living/Healthcare (multi-entity consolidation, audit readiness)
    • Education (fund tracking, grants, departmental reporting)
    • Nonprofit (dimensional reporting, fund accounting, compliance)
  • Strong financial systems knowledge and business process acumen; an accounting background or designation (e.g., CPA) is preferred.
  • Excellent presentation, communication, and storytelling skills—you can simplify complexity and connect technology to business value.
  • Experience scoping and estimating ERP projects and drafting solution design documents.
  • Proficiency in delivering virtual and in-person demos to diverse audiences, including finance, operations, and executive teams.
  • Able to manage multiple deals and demo cycles simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
  • Willingness to travel as needed across North America to support high-value opportunities and strategic initiatives.

Compensation and Benefits


Base salary range: $95,000 to $125,000.

This position is also eligible for commissions in accordance with the terms of the Company's plan.
