About this Position

We are seeking a contractor to support our Operations team as the AI Productivity Lead for Sales, serving as a liaison between Sales, Business Unit leadership, and internal operational teams. This role will focus on identifying opportunities to improve efficiency and productivity through the creation, deployment, and optimization of AI-powered tools that support the sales organization.


The AI Productivity Lead will translate business needs into practical AI solutions that streamline workflows, reduce manual effort, and enable the sales team to focus more time on revenue-generating activities. This individual will work closely with Sales Leadership, Sales Enablement, Operations, and other internal stakeholders to drive adoption of AI tools and embed them into existing systems and processes.


Job Responsibilities

AI Solution Development

  • Partner with Sales leadership and Business Unit leaders to identify opportunities where GPT-based tools can improve efficiency and productivity.
  • Design, build, and maintain custom GPTs that support the sales organization.
  • Serve as the primary creator and manager of GPT solutions for the Sales team.
  • Develop and maintain a library of prompts, templates, and AI workflows that support common sales activities.


AI Strategy & Roadmap

  • Develop and manage the Sales AI roadmap, identifying high-impact opportunities to leverage GPT and other AI tools across the sales organization.
  • Work with Sales leadership to prioritize AI initiatives based on business impact, efficiency gains, and strategic goals.
  • Continuously evaluate emerging AI capabilities that could enhance sales productivity.


Deployment & Optimization

  • Lead rollout of GPT tools to the sales organization.
  • Monitor usage, performance, and effectiveness of GPT tools.
  • Continuously refine and optimize GPTs based on user feedback and evolving business needs.
  • Ensure tools remain aligned with sales processes and operational objectives.


AI Adoption & Enablement

  • Collaborate with Sales Enablement to develop training materials and best practices for GPT usage.
  • Deliver training sessions and support adoption across the sales organization.
  • Promote consistent and effective use of GPT tools within sales workflows.
  • Maintain documentation and quick-reference guides to support ongoing usage.


Impact Measurement & Reporting

  • Measure and report on AI impact and adoption across the sales organization.
  • Track key metrics such as tool usage, time savings, productivity improvements, and contribution to sales efficiency.
  • Provide regular insights and recommendations to leadership on optimization opportunities.


AI Use Case Intake & Prioritization

  • Create and manage a structured intake process where sales representatives and leadership can submit ideas for GPT tools and AI-driven solutions.
  • Evaluate and prioritize requests based on impact, feasibility, and alignment with the Sales AI roadmap.


Cross-Functional Collaboration & Integration

  • Work with Operations, IT, Marketing, and other departments as necessary to integrate GPT tools into existing systems, processes, and workflows.
  • Identify opportunities to embed AI capabilities into broader operational processes.
  • Ensure AI tools align with organizational technology strategy and governance standards.


Success Metrics / KPIs

The success of the AI Productivity Lead – Sales will be measured through the following outcomes:


AI Tool Development & Deployment

  • Number of GPT tools successfully developed and deployed to support sales workflows.
  • Speed of delivery from idea submission to GPT rollout.
  • Percentage of prioritized roadmap initiatives delivered.


Adoption & Usage

  • Adoption rate of GPT tools across the sales team.
  • Active usage metrics for deployed GPT solutions.
  • Percentage of sales team trained on GPT best practices.


Efficiency & Productivity Gains

  • Documented time savings for activities such as prospect research, proposal drafting, meeting preparation, and email creation.
  • Reduction in manual or repetitive tasks within the sales workflow.


Sales Productivity Impact

  • Improved efficiency in preparing proposals, sales communications, and meeting materials.
  • Increased seller capacity for revenue-generating activities.


AI Program Management

  • Establishment and ongoing management of a Sales AI roadmap aligned with leadership priorities.
  • Implementation of a structured AI use-case intake and prioritization process.
  • Regular reporting to leadership on AI adoption, performance, and optimization opportunities.


Expected Deliverables

During the engagement, the contractor will deliver:

  • A Sales AI roadmap outlining prioritized GPT initiatives.
  • A library of GPT tools and prompts supporting sales workflows.
  • A structured intake and prioritization process for AI use cases.
  • Training materials and enablement resources for the sales organization.
  • Regular AI performance and adoption reports for leadership.
  • Ongoing optimization and improvement of deployed GPT tools.


Job Requirements

  • Experience building and optimizing custom GPTs, prompts, or AI workflow tools.
  • Strong understanding of sales operations, sales enablement, or revenue operations workflows.
  • Ability to translate business requirements into AI-powered solutions.
  • Experience deploying AI tools and driving organizational adoption.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to monitor usage, measure impact, and iterate on solutions.
  • Experience working cross-functionally with Sales, Operations, Enablement, and technical teams.
  • Strong communication and training skills to support user adoption.
