About this Position

This opportunity is a for a pivotal role in our global Sage X3 practice as we increase value to our clients and grow our recurring revenue.  The successful candidate will be involved in carving the strategy of business intelligence, analytical, artificial intelligence, and other related data-focused offerings for Sage X3 clients and ensuring that Net at Work remains a trusted partner to our Sage X3 clients by providing packaged services that attract the highest number of subscribers. Over time, we anticipate that this role will grow to encompass strategies that can be leveraged and applied by other business units within Net at Work. 

 

In this position, you will: Understand our client base, target industries, product and service offerings and evaluate our methodologies and offerings to differentiate both Net at Work and its Sage X3 practice.  You will Work within a high-performing consulting organization, reporting to the Consulting Manager of the Sage X3 business unit.   


Job Responsibilities

Drive Strategy for the Business Intelligence Team 

  • Develop strategy and approach for new revenue generation programs related to business intelligence, analytics, artificial intelligence, and data offerings required by Sage X3 and all Net at Work clients. 

  • Identify and implement margin improvement opportunities on existing services. 

  • Recommend and implement use of current and emerging technologies and methodologies and bring best practices to the team. 

  • Act as an evangelist for offerings and assist with sales and marketing programs. 

  • Support automation and efficiency for clients. 

 

Leadership, Management and Accountability (LMA)  

  • Performance management of team members including management of team member performance on projects and enabling/driving professional development of team.  

  • Effectively develop and manage a team of consultants ensuring revenue and profitability targets. 

  • Facilitate building of team member skills to meet criteria of current and future client delivery needs. 

  • Regularly perform 1:1 meeting with direct reports to provide feedback.  

  • Provide career path planning and coaching to ensure consultant job satisfaction, positive morale, professional growth, engagement, and retention. 

  • Complete quarterly conversations and provide ongoing informal/formal feedback.  

  • Exemplify camaraderie and teamwork with subordinates, managers, and co-workers. 

  • Monitor and direct team members to act in accordance with company policies, initiatives, processes, and methodology.  

 

Operations and Service Oversight 

  • Oversight of delivery of all related deliverables and services including analysis of client functional and technical requirements including application and system architecture; ensuring completion of projects at or ahead of schedule, costs are managed to budget, and customer expectations are exceeded. 

  • Identify, define, develop, and implement techniques to improve engagement productivity, increase efficiency, mitigate risk, resolve issues and achieve cost savings for our clients.  

  • Report relevant business metrics to senior management on a regular basis and/or as required (utilizing written updates, conference calls, etc.).   

  • As required by escalations, participate in project status and planning sessions with client, project and/or management teams. 

  • Review and approve solutions recommended by team to ensure client business processes and functional requirements objectives are addressed. 

  • Manage the schedule for all team members ensuring efficient use of the team bench. 

  • Ensure that Project Managers have access to the resources they need to maintain project commitments. 

  • Work closely with other teams for all inter-department communications and coordination. 

  • Promote and manage the existing QuickStart offerings across multiple practices. 


Job Requirements

Formal Education & Certification 

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology or equivalent work experience required. 

 

Knowledge & Experience 

  • 3+ years’ experience managing resources in a consulting environment. 

  • 7+ years of experience with related technologies. 

  • Experience with implementation of BI tools such as Sage Enterprise Intelligence aka Nectari BI, Sage SD&A aka ZAP, Power BI, Dataself a plus! 

  • Understands consulting as a business; demonstrates competency (or capacity to be successful) in the ability to translate customer/business requirements into business solutions and successfully positioning with the customers. 

  • A consultative background with a record of delivering solutions within defined timeframes and budgets. 

  • A keen understanding of business needs, and ability to ensure technical solutions, strategies, practices deliver business and customer value. 

  • Experience leading requirements definition and design sessions. 

  • Successful track record of delivering on agreed upon business objectives and performance on key metrics. 

  • Ability to communicate effectively with non-technical staff and with members of interdisciplinary teams. 

  • Ability to effectively document technical designs. 

  • Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment. 

  • Experience working in a team-oriented, collaborative environment. 

  • Successful track record of delivering on agreed upon business objectives and performance on key metrics. 

  • Experience in team management, scheduling, and budgets. 

  • Ability to multi-task and adapt to change. 

  • Ability to juggle multiple projects of various sizes. 

  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and other Office 365 applications. 

  • Ability to work longer than a 40-hour work week. 

  • Occasional evening and weekend work to meet deadlines. 

  • Intermediate travel; up to 10%.

Compensation and Benefits


Base salary range: $125,000 to $155,000.
This position is also eligible for a bonus in accordance with the terms of the Company's plan.
