About this Position

The Intacct Practice Director is the strategic manager for the entire practice.  The Practice Director develops goals and strategic plans for delivering company products and services to clients to maximize revenue for the team. The Practice Director works with Directors to execute Practice strategy‐ Marketing, Sales, Inside Sales, Professional Services and IT Services.

Job Responsibilities

Strategy & Planning

•    Develop goals and strategic plans for delivering company products and services to clients to maximize revenue.
•    Work with Directors to execute Practice strategy‐ Marketing, Sales, Inside Sales, Professional Services, IT Services
•    Develop competitive awareness both within and external to practice solution offerings
•    Develop and maintain strategic alliances with partners, vendors and outsource resources
•    Evangelist for the product and team
•    Communicate team goals and performance to team and executive management

Acquisition & Deployment

•    Manages strategic client relationships
•    Execute high level billable consulting to clients
•    Ensures consistent and sufficient pre-sales support
•    Mentor team in business development strategies
•    Manage and achieve engagement bookings and revenue targets
•    Design and deploy new applications and enhancements to existing applications, software, and operating systems.
•    Perform cost-benefit and return on investment analyses for proposed systems to aid management in making implementation decisions.
•    Conduct research on software and systems products to justify recommendations and to support purchasing efforts.
•    Interact and negotiate with vendors, outsourcers, and contractors to secure system-related products and services.

Operational Management
•    Provide leadership and management skills to enable the Practice to meet its agreed aims and objectives within a profitable, efficient and effective working environment.
•    Keep abreast of current industry trends and identify potential threats and opportunities
•    Contribute to Practice strategy; formulate objectives and research and develop ideas for future Practice development
•    Monitor and evaluate performance of the Practice team against objectives; identify and manage change
•    Develop and maintain effective communication both within the Practice and with relevant outside parties
•    Prepare and annually update the Practice Development Plan, oversee the implementation of the aims and objectives
•    Grow and maximize the revenue of the practice and of the clients that belong to that practice
•    Increase cross sell revenue in practice client base by working closely with other practice managers.
•    Work with inside and outside sales to reach revenue goals and provide pre sales support as needed
•    Work with marketing and sales leaders to build a marketing calendar
•    Determine which add on products will be the best fit for our client base and work with sales leaders and consulting managers to implement strategy for selling and servicing those add ons
•    Develop relationship with publishers for products in their given practice
•    Understand key business drivers and demonstrate business acumen
•    Proactively seek/create opportunities to participate in client interactions to ensure highest levels of customer satisfaction are achieved 
•    Ensure that the practice retains 100% of on plan customer (no Reseller of Record defections)

 

Job Requirements

Formal Education & Certification
•    University degree Business or Computer Science and/or years equivalent work experience. Masters Degree a plus.
•    ERP product certification

Knowledge & Experience
•    Deep understanding of consulting, practice products and the business of relevant clients/partners, including based on 10 years related business experience: 
    Business acumen (client business drivers) 
    Sales and Marketing 
    Financial analysis (e.g., ROI & TCO) 
    Problem solving
•    Prior experience with pre-sales activity or account planning is desirable
•    Demonstrated facilitation, collaboration and problem solving skills 
•    Ability to engage senior client management in discussions regarding our solutions, the client’s industry and business model 
•    Must be able to present self well in front of internal and external customers
•    Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment.
•    Experience working in a team-oriented, collaborative environment.
•    Strong relationship and social skills with the ability to build and manage a strategic external industry network.
•    Commitment to company values and business objectives 
•    Strong customer service orientation.
•    Ability to work longer than a 40 hour work week
•    Willingness to travel periodically
