About this Position


The HCM Consultant is responsible for planning, designing, and launching efficient systems that support HR and Payroll operations. This position requires a balance of technical expertise and business acumen to evaluate client requirements, document business processes, and propose effective system solutions. The HRIS Consultant serves as a strategic Trusted Advisor to clients and internal teams, driving system implementations, upgrades, and enhancements that maximize efficiency and user adoption.



Job Responsibilities


Strategy & Planning

  • Collaboration with internal stakeholders and client decision-makers to define system needs, project scope, and business goals.
  • Evaluation and analysis of the effectiveness of existing HRIS and payroll systems, recommending improvements.
  • Ensuring interoperability and compatibility between various in-house and client-facing applications.

Business Analysis & Design

  • Development of functional specifications and documentation for new system features and enhancements.
  • Translation of business requirements into technical solutions through detailed process mapping, data modeling, and system documentation.
  • Performing gap analysis and suggesting optimization strategies based on client needs.

Implementation & Deployment

  • Leading or assisting in the configuration, testing, and rollout of new HRIS modules and system updates.
  • Coordination with technical teams to execute system implementations, ensuring alignment with client requirements and timelines.
  • Conducting system and integration testing, including user acceptance testing (UAT).
  • Providing client training, end-user support, and documentation.

Client Engagement & Support

  • Acting as a primary point of contact during implementations, upgrades, and enhancement projects.
  • Building strong relationships with clients, offering strategic guidance and post-implementation support.
  • Monitoring and resolving issues, escalating where appropriate, and tracking resolutions to ensure client satisfaction.


Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Finance, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • 2–4 years of experience working with HRIS and/or Payroll systems (implementation, support, or consulting).
  • Knowledge of or experience with Rippling is a strong plus.
  • Experience creating system documentation, workflows, and specifications.
  • Familiarity with industry compliance requirements (FLSA, ACA, etc.) is preferred.
  • Occasional travel may be required based on client needs.
  • This role offers growth opportunities across HCM platforms, systems strategy, and client engagement.

Compensation and Benefits


Base salary range: $85,000 - $95,000.

This position is also eligible for a bonus in accordance with the terms of the Company's plan.
