Position Overview
We are building a cutting-edge Platform that will transform the way our customers identify, protect and govern their data. This will revolutionize how customers secure their data by placing identity at the core – providing unparalleled visibility and control.
We are seeking a Distinguished Engineer to lead the design and development of cutting-edge enterprise security products in the areas of Identity Management, Privileged Access Management (PAM), and Identity Threat Detection & Response (ITDR). This role is pivotal in driving the architecture and engineering of scalable, secure, and cloud-ready platforms that serve Fortune 500 customers across hybrid environments—spanning both cloud-native and on-premises infrastructure.
This is a senior-most technical role where innovation, hands-on leadership, and enterprise product engineering converge to solve some of the most pressing identity security challenges faced by large organizations today.
Key Responsibilities
Product & Platform Architecture
- Lead the architecture and technical direction of Netwrix enterprise-grade identity security products with hybrid (cloud + on-prem) deployment models.
- Architect scalable multi-tenant cloud services while supporting deployable on-prem versions for regulated customers.
- Design and build advanced capabilities for identity threat detection, behavior-based anomaly detection, and response automation to combat identity-based threats.
- Architect and implement PAM solutions to secure access to sensitive systems and data, including just-in-time (JIT) access, session recording, and credential vaulting.
Engineering & Innovation Leadership
- Partner with product and engineering teams to translate complex customer requirements into robust, extensible software solutions.
- Lead technical evaluations, architecture reviews, and platform decisions across multiple engineering squads.
- Drive innovation in ITDR, including behavioral analytics, identity-based threat detection, and automated response.
Domain Expertise & Strategy
- Define the technical vision and roadmap for Identity & Access Management (IAM), PAM, and ITDR product lines.
- Build core components such as credential vaults, JIT access workflows, session auditing, and policy engines.
Thought Leadership & Mentorship
- Mentor senior engineers and influence engineering culture across product lines.
- Serve as a trusted technical advisor to executives, product leaders, and strategic customers.
- Represent the company in industry forums, customer briefings, and technical communities.
Qualifications
- 15+ years of experience in software engineering, with 5+ years leading architecture and development of enterprise security products.
- Proven expertise in building and shipping identity-related platforms: IAM, SSO, MFA, PAM, or ITDR.
- Deep understanding of hybrid/cloud-native architectures and on-premise software delivery models (e.g., containers, VMs, Kubernetes operators).
- Programming expertise in languages like Go, Java, C#, or Python and experience with modern CI/CD pipelines.
- Familiarity with major PAM solutions (e.g., CyberArk, HashiCorp Vault, BeyondTrust) and identity providers (e.g., Okta, AD, Azure AD).
- Strong hands-on experience with security protocols and identity standards: OAuth 2.0, OIDC, SAML, SCIM, LDAP, Kerberos.
- Experience with behavior-based threat detection, UEBA, or ITDR frameworks in enterprise environments.
- Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior experience as a Distinguished Engineer, Chief Architect, or equivalent in an enterprise security or infrastructure SaaS company.
- Experience building compliance-ready products (e.g., SOC 2, FedRAMP, HIPAA, ISO 27001).
- Contributions to open standards or open-source identity/security frameworks.
- Experience with CI/CD, policy-as-code, and DevSecOps pipelines in Azure DevOps or GitHub Actions.
