As the Controller at New Reach Education, you will be at the forefront of reshaping our financial operations and driving process improvements across the organization. Your innovative approach and strategic mindset will play a pivotal role in elevating our accounting and finance practices.
Key responsibilities include:
- Transition Leadership: Lead the seamless transition from QuickBooks to Netsuite as the ERP system. Play a key role in the implementation process, ensuring a smooth transition of financial data and processes.
- Process Innovation: We are seeking a trailblazer who can revolutionize our accounting and finance processes. Identify areas for improvement, design and implement innovative solutions, and foster a culture of continuous enhancement.
- Financial Reporting: Take charge of financial reporting activities, ensuring accurate and timely preparation of financial statements, reports, and analyses. Provide insightful financial information to guide decision-making across the organization.
- Accounts Payable Management: Oversee the Accounts Payable function, ensuring timely and accurate processing of vendor invoices, payments, and expense reimbursements.
- CPA Expertise: Possess a valid CPA certification, utilizing your in-depth knowledge of accounting principles and regulations to maintain compliance and accuracy in all financial operations.
- Financial Leadership: Play a key role in managing the financial health of the organization. Contribute to budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning activities, collaborating with cross-functional teams to achieve strategic objectives.
- Excel Proficiency: Demonstrate advanced Excel skills that go beyond pivot tables and VLOOKUP functions. Utilize Excel as a powerful tool to analyze data, build financial models, and extract meaningful insights.
- Attention to Detail: Exhibit an exceptional eye for detail in all financial transactions and reporting, ensuring precision and accuracy at every step.
- Numerical and Logical Reasoning: Showcase strong numerical and logical reasoning abilities, enabling you to make informed financial decisions and solve complex problems effectively.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field. A Master's degree in a relevant field is preferred.
- Valid CPA certification is required.
- Proven experience in a financial leadership role, preferably in a rapidly growing and dynamic environment.
- Expertise in utilizing Excel for financial analysis and reporting, going beyond basic functions.
- Exceptional attention to detail and strong numerical and logical reasoning skills.
- Experience with ERP system transitions, especially Netsuite, is a plus.
