What you’ll do 

The Senior Global Supply Manager is responsible for developing and executing global sourcing strategies to support capital equipment procurement and manufacturing operations. This role combines strategic supplier management, technical market expertise, and operational execution to ensure reliable, cost-effective, and scalable supply solutions. 

The Senior Global Supply Manager serves as a key partner to Engineering and Operations by identifying and qualifying suppliers, managing sourcing initiatives, and building a resilient global supply base that supports Niron’s growth. This role will develop deep expertise in critical manufacturing technologies and supplier markets while driving continuous improvement in procurement processes and systems. 

Supplier and Market Analysis 

  • Develop and maintain deep industry expertise in grinding, pressing, cleaning, coating, and wire saw technologies. 
  • Lead global supplier market intelligence and pricing strategy for capital equipment. 
  • Serve as a technical sourcing partner to Engineering, proactively identifying supplier solutions and influencing equipment decisions. 
  • Analyze global supplier capacity constraints and develop mitigation strategies. 
  • Lead supplier onboarding and qualification strategies. 
  • Own supplier performance management and drive improvement initiatives. 
  • Establish long-term supplier partnerships aligned with engineering and operational roadmaps. 

 

Supplier Sourcing 

  • Define sourcing strategies for capital equipment and critical technologies. 
  • Lead complex global RFQ initiatives and supplier selection decisions. 
  • Negotiate strategic pricing structures and long-term commercial agreements. 
  • Lead negotiation of master supply agreements and commercial terms. 
  • Ensure supply continuity for critical equipment and materials. 
  • Own and drive execution of the supplier sourcing roadmap. 
  • Lead resolution of complex supplier issues and escalations. 

 

Process and Systems Development 

  • Maintain procurement data in internal systems to support reporting, planning, and audits. 
  • Lead development of scalable sourcing processes and tools. 
  • Establish procurement best practices across the organization. 
  • Drive supplier optimization and cost-reduction initiatives. 
  • Identify and implement strategic supply chain improvements. 
  • Influence system design and procurement reporting capabilities. 

 

What We’re Looking For 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience). 
  • 7-10+ years of procurement or supply chain experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment. 
  • Experience sourcing capital equipment 
  • Strong analytical skills with ability to evaluate supplier proposals, cost drivers, and market trends. 
  • Strong negotiation and communication skills with internal and external stakeholders. 
  • Demonstrated ability to fully negotiate supply contracts 
  • Highly organized, proactive, and comfortable in a fast-paced, scaling environment. 
  • Ability to develop “should cost” models 


Nice to Have 

  • Experience in a start-up or high-growth manufacturing environment. 
  • Familiarity with industrial equipment or advanced materials categories.  
  • Exposure to cost analysis and supplier performance management. 

 

Our Pay and Benefits 

  • Salary range: $135,000 – 160,000 based on experience, skills, and education
