Overview 

 

We’re looking for an HR Coordinator to join our team in Southfield, MI. This is an on-site role supporting a fast-growing, private equity-backed company with a national footprint. 

 

This role supports the full employee lifecycle, including recruiting, onboarding, employee support, and HR operations. It’s a hands-on position in a fast-paced environment with real ownership and visibility across the business. 

 

The right candidate will roll up their sleeves and get into the work, while also thinking ahead about how to improve and scale. They can balance big-picture thinking with a strong focus on execution and follow-through. 

 

What You’ll Do 

 

Employee Lifecycle Support 

  • Support the full employee lifecycle including hiring, onboarding, internal changes, and offboarding  
  • Serve as a resource for employees on HR questions, policies, and processes  
  • Maintain accurate employee records and ensure HR systems are up to date  

 

Recruiting & Hiring 

  • Manage recruiting for assigned roles from intake through offer  
  • Partner with hiring managers to understand needs and move roles forward efficiently  
  • Coordinate interviews, manage candidate communication, and support the offer process  
  • Collaborate with third party recruiters to ensure progress is being made on open requisitions.  
  • Ensure a strong, consistent candidate experience  

 

Onboarding & HR Operations 

  • Oversee pre-employment steps and onboarding processes  
  • Partner with internal teams to ensure new hires are set up for success  
  • Support day-to-day HR operations with accuracy and responsiveness  

 

Policy, Compliance & Process 

  • Support administration and communication of HR policies and procedures  
  • Help ensure consistency and compliance across locations  
  • Assist with audits, documentation, and process improvements  

 

Projects & Initiatives 

  • Contribute to HR projects tied to growth, integration, and process improvement  
  • Identify opportunities to improve efficiency and employee experience  
  • Support broader HR team priorities as needed  

 

What We’re Looking For 

  • Bachelor’s degree in human resources or a related field  
  • Experience in HR, recruiting, or a related field (typically 1–5+ years, but open to strong candidates with transferable experience)  
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities  
  • Strong analytical skills and comfort working with data  
  • Tech savvy with the ability to quickly learn and navigate systems  
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, evolving environment  
  • Clear communicator who takes initiative and follows through  
  • Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion  
  • Positive, can-do attitude.
