Vice President of Supply Chain

Albers Aerospace is a rapidly growing, mission-driven aerospace and defense company serving the United States Government and its allies. Albers has evolved into a full-spectrum defense manufacturer and systems integrator operating under more than 20 NAICS codes spanning aircraft manufacturing, munitions systems integration, ISR technology, laser systems, missile guidance, specialized container fabrication, and FAA Part 145 repair station operations.

Albers is in an aggressive growth phase that demands operational infrastructure equal to its ambition. Our warfighter-first culture means every process, every purchase, and every partnership ultimately serves those who defend our nation. We are headquartered in McKinney, TX with manufacturing operations in Grand Prairie, TX; Tucson, AZ; Accident, MD; Hayden, ID; Amarillo, TX; and McKinney, TX.

POSITION SUMMARY

Albers Aerospace is seeking its first Vice President of Supply Chain Operations — a transformational leader who will architect and institutionalize a compliant, efficient, and scalable supply chain function from the ground up. This is a senior executive role with company-wide impact, reporting directly to the Chief Revenue Officer.

The VP of Supply Chain Operations will establish all supply chain systems, processes, and teams necessary to support Albers' multi-site, multi-NAICS operations while achieving and maintaining full compliance with U.S. Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR), Defense Federal Acquisition Regulation Supplement (DFARS), and other applicable government-mandated requirements including property management and purchasing system approvals.

The ideal candidate blends the agility and resourcefulness of a small business operator with the discipline and process rigor of a large defense prime — and understands that compliance and speed are not mutually exclusive. This leader will be a team builder, a warfighter advocate, and a key architect of Albers' next phase of growth.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Supply Chain Strategy & Leadership

Design and implement Albers' enterprise supply chain strategy, policies, procedures, and organizational structure to support a $300M+ and growing defense business.

Build, recruit, mentor, and lead a high-performing supply chain team across multiple sites, establishing clear roles, accountabilities, and professional development paths.

Serve as the executive champion for supply chain within the company, collaborating with operations, engineering, finance, contracts, and business development leadership.

Drive a culture of urgency, ownership, and warfighter focus — ensuring supply chain never becomes a roadblock to mission delivery.

Government Compliance & Certified Systems

Establish and maintain a FAR/DFARS-compliant purchasing system, to include formal policies and procedures sufficient to withstand DCAA and DCMA review and approval.

Develop and implement a compliant Government Property Management system in accordance with FAR Part 45 and DFARS 245, including receipt, identification, records, utilization, and disposition of Government Furnished Property (GFP) and Contractor Acquired Property (CAP).

Ensure all procurement activities and subcontract flow-down requirements comply with applicable FAR, DFARS, and agency supplement clauses.

Lead preparation for and management of CPSR (Contractor Purchasing System Review), GPAR (Government Property Audit Review), and other government system reviews and audits.

Maintain working knowledge of ITAR, EAR, and export control requirements as they relate to procurement and supply chain activities.

Procurement & Supplier Management

Oversee all procurement activities including materials, components, services, and subcontracts across Albers' diverse NAICS operations (aircraft manufacturing, munitions integration, ISR systems, specialized containers, R&D, and more).

Develop and execute a supplier qualification, performance management, and development program to ensure a reliable, compliant, and competitive supply base.

Negotiate terms, conditions, pricing, and service levels with strategic suppliers and subcontractors; manage supplier risk across a geographically dispersed supply base.

Drive small business subcontracting compliance including development of subcontracting plans where required by federal contract vehicles.

Operations & Continuous Improvement

Establish inventory management, demand planning, and materials management processes that support production schedules across all Albers manufacturing sites.

Implement ERP/MRP or equivalent supply chain information systems scaled appropriately for Albers' growth trajectory.

Identify and drive continuous improvement initiatives using Lean, Six Sigma, or equivalent methodologies to reduce lead times, costs, and supply risk without introducing bureaucratic overhead.

Develop KPIs and dashboards to provide executive leadership with real-time visibility into supply chain health, risk, and performance.

Risk Management & Business Continuity

Identify and mitigate supply chain risks including sole-source dependencies, geopolitical risks, supplier financial health, counterfeit parts, and long-lead material constraints.

Develop and maintain a supply chain business continuity plan to ensure Albers can sustain delivery commitments to the U.S. Government in adverse conditions.

Coordinate with Albers' legal and contracts teams to ensure supply chain practices align with contractual obligations, IP protections, and risk allocation strategies.

LEADERSHIP COMPETENCIES & CULTURAL FIT

Albers Aerospace is not a slow-moving bureaucracy — nor do we intend to become one. We are building something enduring for the warfighter, and we need a supply chain leader who embodies the following:

Warfighter Focus — Every decision is made with mission readiness in mind. You understand who ultimately depends on Albers' products and you keep that commitment central to your work.

Builder's Mentality — You have built teams, processes, and systems from scratch. You are energized by the blank sheet of paper, not paralyzed by it.

Compliance Without Bureaucracy — You know how to build compliant systems that move fast. You will not gold-plate processes or create overhead that slows the company down.

Executive Presence — You communicate clearly with government customers, auditors, and Albers' executive team. You are comfortable in front of a DCMA rep, a supplier CEO, and the Albers Board.

Adaptive and Resourceful — You are equally at home making trade decisions in a small business environment and instituting structured governance in a scaling enterprise.

Accountability — You own outcomes, not activities. You hold your team and your suppliers to commitments, and you take responsibility when things go wrong.

Collaborative — Albers is a team of teams. You work across engineering, operations, contracts, and finance without territorial friction.

WHY THIS ROLE

This is a rare opportunity to build an enterprise supply chain function from the ground up inside a company that is growing at a pace few defense businesses achieve. You will have the authority, the resources, and the executive sponsorship to do it right — and you will see the direct impact of your work in the capabilities delivered to America's warfighters.

Establish Albers' first formal supply chain organization with full executive authority.

Shape company culture and operational DNA during a pivotal growth phase.

Competitive executive compensation package commensurate with experience, including performance incentives tied to company growth milestones.

Work alongside a leadership team that values speed, accountability, and mission over process for its own sake.

Multi-site presence in a diverse, technically complex defense business — no two days are alike.
