About the role

We are looking for a Technical Lead in Business Intelligence to join our consulting practice and drive the end-to-end design and delivery of scalable BI and analytics solutions. In this role, you will serve as the technical authority within project teams while acting as a trusted advisor for our clients across industries.

You will work alongside a multidisciplinary team of data engineers, analysts, and BI specialists, leading architectural decisions on reporting layers and data pipelines, setting technical standards, and ensuring every solution delivers measurable business value. If you thrive at the intersection of technical depth and client impact, this role is for you.

What you will do:

  • Lead the end-to-end design and delivery of BI solutions, from data modeling and pipeline development to report and dashboard publishing in Power BI.
  • Translate complex business requirements into scalable, maintainable analytics solutions that serve both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Design and implement robust data transformation workflows using PySpark, ensuring performance, reliability, and reusability across projects.
  • Define and enforce best practices for Power BI development: semantic model design, DAX optimization, row-level security, and deployment pipelines.
  • Manage source code and promote collaborative development practices using Git (branching strategies, pull requests, version control standards).
  • Act as the primary technical reference for clients: lead discovery workshops, define delivery roadmaps, and present solutions to business stakeholders.
  • Mentor and support senior and semi-senior BI developers within the team.
  • Support pre-sales processes: effort estimations, solution design, and proposal writing.

What you bring:

  • 5+ years of experience in BI solution development (Power BI, data modeling, ETL/ELT pipelines, or related disciplines).
  • 2+ years leading technical initiatives: solution design, architectural decision-making, and team guidance.
  • Strong hands-on expertise with Power BI: data modeling (star/snowflake schema), DAX, Power Query, and report/dashboard development.
  • Solid experience with PySpark for large-scale data transformation and processing.
  • Proficiency with Git for version control and collaborative development workflows.
  • Ability to independently engage with business stakeholders, gather requirements, and lead moderate-complexity analytics projects end-to-end.
  • Strong communication skills — able to convey technical concepts clearly to non-technical audiences.
  • English proficiency at C1 level or higher (spoken and written).

Nice if you have:

  • Experience with Microsoft Fabric or Azure Synapse Analytics as a unified analytics platform.
  • Familiarity with cloud data platforms (Azure Data Lake, Databricks, Azure Data Factory).
  • Knowledge of data warehouse modeling methodologies (Dimensional Modeling, Data Vault).
  • Experience in pre-sales or business development in a consulting context.
  • Background in data governance, data quality frameworks, or enterprise security practices.
  • Microsoft Power BI certification (PL-300) or equivalent BI certification.
