Director of Multifamily Facilities and Procurement

Position Summary
Billingsley Company is investing in the future of its multifamily operations and looking for a visionary leader to build it. The Director of Multifamily Facilities & Procurement is a newly elevated, strategic role designed to transform how we approach maintenance, procurement, and technology across our portfolio. This is a role for someone who sees what's possible and builds it.


Key Responsibilities

  • Architect the next generation of multifamily maintenance operations -- introducing AI-driven tools, technology platforms, and smart systems that elevate performance and reduce costs
  • Build and lead a centralized procurement function from the ground up, including vendor sourcing strategy, contract negotiation, spend analysis, and supplier accountability
  • Establish and institutionalize portfolio-wide standards for maintenance, preventive care, and property inspections -- creating consistency and measurable outcomes where none currently exist
  • Identify and drive operational efficiencies across workflows, make-ready timelines, and capital planning processes
  • Partner cross-functionally with property management, construction, and ownership to align facilities strategy with broader company goals
  • Build the reporting infrastructure and analytics cadence to track maintenance performance, vendor costs, and capital spend across the portfolio

Qualifications

  • 8+ years of progressively responsible experience in facilities, maintenance, or property operations leadership
  • Multifamily real estate experience strongly preferred
  • Demonstrated track record of implementing technology solutions in a maintenance or facilities environment
  • Strong procurement and vendor management background
  • Experience building or significantly transforming a team or function
  • Analytical mindset with experience using data to drive decisions
  • Bachelor's degree preferred; equivalent experience considered
