Equal Employment Opportunity Statement
Bluestem Family Medical is an Equal Opportunity Employer and prohibits discrimination and harassment of any kind. Employment decisions are based on qualifications, merit, business needs, and compliance with applicable federal, state, and local laws.
Compliance Recommendation:
For risk management purposes, I recommend requiring national certification (CMA, CCMA, RMA, or NCMA) within 12 months of hire if not already certified, along with AHA BLS certification prior to independent patient contact. While Oklahoma does not require MA licensure, this standard is viewed favorably during payer credentialing reviews, accreditation surveys, SBA underwriting due diligence, and future growth initiatives. It also provides stronger defense in malpractice and employment-related claims than relying solely on uncredentialed medical assistants.
