BRIGHTSIDE

Client Marketing Specialist

A bit about this role:

The Client Marketing Specialist plays a key role in bringing Brightside’s client engagement strategies to life. Supporting programs across our client portfolio, this person helps execute high-impact, multi-channel campaigns designed to connect employees with Brightside’s financial care and drive awareness, engagement, and adoption of our services.

Working closely with Marketing Leaders, the Coordinator owns the details that make great campaigns happen - from execution and coordination to quality assurance and launch. Gain hands-on experience across a variety of channels, including email, direct mail, in-app messaging, and other creative engagement tactics.

This is an ideal opportunity for an early-career marketer who is organized, curious, and energized by execution. You’ll learn how sophisticated client marketing programs come together, build experience across multiple channels, and develop the skills to take on increasing ownership over time.

The meaningful work you'll tackle:

Campaign Support & Execution

  • Support the build, QA, and deployment of segmented engagement campaigns across email, SMS, direct mail, push notifications, in-app messaging, and other channels.
  • Maintain campaign calendars, timelines, and execution checklists to help keep campaigns organized and on track.
  • QA campaign assets and deployments to catch errors, ensure accuracy, and deliver a high-quality experience before launch.
  • Ensure client-facing communications are on-brand and aligned with Brightside’s voice and style guidelines.
  • Assist with drafting clear, engaging client-facing copy and coordinating stakeholder feedback and approvals.
  • Identify bottlenecks or recurring issues in campaign build and QA processes, and help improve workflows and checklists to make execution more efficient and reliable.

Measurement & Enablement Support

  • Pull, organize, and maintain campaign performance data to support analysis and decision-making by Client Marketing Leaders.
  • Track key engagement metrics and surface notable trends, opportunities, or areas for further investigation.
  • Maintain playbooks, templates, and best-practice documentation that help the team execute consistently and efficiently.
  • Assist in preparing campaign performance summaries and insights for Marketing and Customer Success partners.
  • Help evaluate what’s working across campaigns, playbooks, and templates, and recommend improvements that increase efficiency, consistency, and impact.

What we're looking for in your background & what makes you a success:

  • 1–3 years of experience in marketing, communications, or a related field; exposure to lifecycle, client, or engagement marketing is a plus.
  • Experience with Iterable is a plus.
  • Experience in benefits, fintech, HR tech, healthcare, payroll, or a similar industry is helpful but not required.
  • Familiarity with marketing automation platforms and/or CRM systems, with an eagerness to learn segmentation, workflow automation, and A/B testing.
  • Comfort using, or curiosity to learn, AI tools to improve workflows, processes, and day-to-day execution.
  • Interest in building multi-channel engagement strategies that extend beyond email, including SMS, direct mail, push notifications, and mobile-first messaging.
  • Strong attention to detail and an interest in using data to understand performance and continuously improve campaigns.
  • A proactive, curious mindset - you’re eager to learn, receptive to feedback, comfortable asking questions, and excited to take on greater ownership as you grow.
  • Strong written communication skills, with the ability to develop clear, empathetic, and action-oriented copy.
