The company’s ATLAS and SUMMIT discovery platforms are powered by an industry-leading, fully integrated dataset spanning hundreds of thousands of cell states across healthy tissues alongside large-scale single-cell profiling of patient tumors. By combining petabyte-scale proprietary data, machine learning, and AI-driven biological insights, Cartography is identifying highly specific tumor targets and logic-gated target combinations to generate therapies engineered for maximal tumor selectivity and meaningful patient impact. The company’s lead program, CBI-1214, is a T-cell engager in development for colorectal cancer. CBI-1214 entered the clinic in early 2026 and is currently enrolling and treating patients in a phase 1 trial.


The Shipping/Receiving/Operations Associate will join the growing and dynamic Cartography Operations team and provide day-to-day support for shipping, receiving, facilities, and general operations. This role is responsible for executing established processes, following operational procedures, and supporting the needs of the organization under the direction of the Operations team.


The associate will coordinate daily shipping and receiving activities, including processing inbound and outbound shipments for Cartography, supporting inbound receiving for two other startups in the building, inventory tracking, shipping documentation, and carrier coordination. Using Prendio and other internal systems, they will accurately record shipping transactions, maintain inventory records, and help ensure compliance with DOT, IATA, and other applicable shipping regulations by following established procedures and guidance.


In addition, this role supports the Operations team with day-to-day operational needs, including stocking office, kitchen, and laboratory supplies, assisting with facilities-related tasks, supporting laboratory operations such as CO₂/LN₂ cylinder changes and hazardous waste handling in accordance with established safety procedures and management direction, and assisting with special projects as needed.


The ideal candidate is dependable, organized, and adaptable, with strong attention to detail, a sense of urgency, and the ability to pivot between changing priorities. They enjoy working collaboratively, communicate effectively, and are willing to jump in wherever needed to support the team and ensure smooth day-to-day operations.


Shipping/Receiving Responsibilities:

  • Prepare shipping documents, schedule outgoing shipment of materials, supplies and finished products for Cartography.
  • Upkeep of all company shipping supplies for Cartography
  • Schedule/Coordinate courier services for Cartography
  • Enter packing slip into receiving software i.e Prendio for Cartography, tracking sheet for Cartography and two other companies
  • Delivery of packages throughout the day for Cartography and 2 other start-up companies
  • Be lead person for incoming freight deliveries to the dock (large, bulk packages) for Cartography and two other startups.
  • Hold new equipment until Lab Manager places it into asset management system for Cartography
  • To ensure the logistical processes are running smoothly, the candidate will meet with the Operations team to determine which logistics improvements need to be made to increase productivity levels across the organization.

Operations Responsibilities:

  • Assist with special projects or operational needs as directed by management
  • Assist with stocking and replenishing office, kitchen, and breakroom supplies, snacks, and beverages and keeping areas organized.
  • Assist with ordering company lunches, including setup and breakdown
  • Assist the Lab Manager with stocking laboratory consumables and maintaining inventory levels, following established procedures and the direction of management.
  • Assist with changing CO₂ and LN₂ cylinders in accordance with established safety procedures and guidelines, and under the direction of management.
  • Assist with hazardous waste handling and disposal in accordance with established safety procedures, regulatory requirements, and the direction of management.
  • Provide support for facilities-related tasks, including office maintenance, vendor visits, deliveries, workspace setup, and other facilities activities as assigned by management.
  • Support shipping, receiving, and other day-to-day operational activities as directed to help ensure smooth business operations.
  • Assist with special projects and other operational needs as assigned by management.
  • Maintain a consistent onsite presence in the South San Francisco office Monday through Friday.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

 Requirements:

  • IATA Hazmat Air Shipper Certification
  • DOT Certification
  • Onsite presence Monday–Friday
  • Experience in a shipping and receiving environment with a thorough understanding of end-to-end shipping and receiving processes
  • Functional knowledge of international customs regulations
  • Working knowledge of inventory management systems
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build collaborative relationships across technical and non-technical teams in a diverse, global environment
  • Highly organized, motivated, and detail-oriented, with the ability to prioritize, pivot quickly between competing tasks, and maintain focus in a fast-paced environment
  • Demonstrated sense of urgency, proactively identifying and resolving issues while ensuring work is completed accurately and on time
