The NCSG Internship Program is a collaborative summer internship sponsored by the North Carolina Space Grant and Collier Aerospace. We are seeking motivated and eager North Carolina State college students to join our NCSG Intern cohort. During this internship, you will gain hands-on experience with HyperX® and assist in integrating the software into customer workflows, contributing to the software interface and workflows and helping with documentation and training. Required Qualifications

Candidates should have experience or strong academic preparation in aerospace structural analysis. The candidates should have many of the following capabilities:

  • US citizen (required)
  • In-progress bachelor’s degree in one of the following engineering disciplines;
    • Aerospace engineering
    • Mechanical engineering
    • Civil engineering
  • Desired course work:
    • Statics (required)
    • Strength of materials
    • Composites
    • Finite element analysis (FEA)
  • Ability to learn HyperX and understand its application in various industries
  • Ability and desire to communicate and work directly with customers
  • Ability to collaborate with different teams in the company with the goal of representing the customer's perspective
  • Strong documentation, communication, and presentation skills


Roles and Responsibilities

  • Learn and apply HyperX® to assist customers with their technical needs
  • Work directly with customers & our application engineering team to understand their technical requirements and determine how HyperX® can support these efforts
  • Document specific needs and features of interest of customers to communicate with other teams within the company
  • Work directly with the application engineering team to ensure that software documentation and training exercises are useful and kept up-to-date.
  • Work directly with the application engineering team to support the sales process through the introductory and product evaluation phases.
