The Mission of the Manager, Inventory Control at Cozey

Reporting to Terry Fisch, Vice-President, Operations & Logistics, your mission is to own inventory integrity across our fulfillment center network. You'll set the inventory control standard, lead the cycle count and reconciliation program, and drive the process improvements that keep stock accurate, findable, and ready to ship.

Working within the Warehouse Management System (WMS), you'll guide inventory control staff at each site, partner with warehouse operations and supply and demand planning, and turn inventory data into decisions that protect fulfillment performance and the customer experience. You'll own a function that directly protects the customer experience and the bottom line, with the mandate and network scope to set the standard rather than inherit it.

This role is on-site at our headquarters in Mont-Royal, with regular travel across our Fulfillment Center (FC) Network.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Own the inventory control policies, procedures, and standards across the fulfillment center network, and lead the cycle count strategy that holds every site accountable to them.
  • Ensure inventory accuracy across every FC location, including pick bins, reserve storage, and returns areas, and drive timely reconciliation of discrepancies.
  • Govern SKU-level tracking, audits, and adjustments within the WMS, enforcing controls on stock movement and monitoring consumption so replenishment triggers fire accurately and on time.
  • Lead the year-end physical inventory process, support SKU rationalization based on velocity and inventory data, and own the SKU lifecycle from launch to discontinuation.
  • Identify and resolve inventory issues that threaten order fulfillment, guide allocation and replenishment between zones, and partner with FC teams on slotting optimization and continuous improvement to reduce shrinkage, damage, and stockouts.
  • Set inventory control performance metrics, hold sites accountable to them, and build the training and onboarding that keeps practice consistent from site to site.
  • Own inventory reporting accuracy for the network, tracking KPIs including accuracy, shrinkage, and location accuracy, and ensure compliance with safety, regulatory, and audit standards.

We'd Love to Hear from You If You Have

  • 5+ years of experience in inventory control, warehouse operations, or supply chain, including 2+ years leading a team or program across multiple fulfillment sites.
  • Proven command of inventory control principles, cycle counting, reconciliation, root cause analysis, and physical inventory, paired with hands-on experience in a warehouse management or inventory control system.
  • Strong analytical skills, with the ability to interpret inventory data, investigate discrepancies, and act on findings.
  • Experience using AI and AI-enabled tools to improve inventory accuracy and planning outcomes.
  • A track record of process improvement and of raising accuracy in a fast-paced fulfillment environment.
  • Clear, structured communication that lays out the issue, impact, options, and recommendation, paired with a bias for action: catching accuracy risks early and driving fixes before they hit fulfillment.

You'll Know You're Successful When

  • Inventory accuracy across all FC locations holds at 98% or higher, including pick bins, reserve storage, and returns areas.
  • Cycle counts are completed on schedule and variances are resolved quickly.
  • Shrinkage trends down quarter over quarter, and inventory-related pending orders shrink as a share of fulfillment misses.
  • Inventory adjustments and write-offs are the exception, not the norm, and every one is explained.
  • Sites operate to a consistent standard, and leaders trust the network's inventory numbers enough to make purchasing and allocation decisions against them.

We Care About You

  • You will receive a competitive salary along with a comprehensive benefits package.
  • Real ownership over inventory integrity across the network, with the mandate and scope to set the standard rather than inherit it.
  • Endless opportunities for personal and professional growth in a fast-growing, ambitious company.
  • A generous PTO policy that gives you the time you need to recharge.
