Position Title: Project Manager – Power Solutions

Position Location: Remote - work from anywhere in the United States. Must be located near a major airport.

Travel Requirements: Up to 10% domestic travel. Must have valid driver's license and ability to rent vehicles.


JOB SUMMARY

The Project Manager – Power Solutions is responsible for overseeing client and project needs from RFP, to final closeout. This position combines communication skills, scheduling and overall document management. This includes communicating and coordinating with Owners, Contractors, Vendors and DLB teams. Responsibilities include ensuring proposals, schedule, budget, quality, and safety objectives are achieved across all project phases.

The Project Manager – Power Solutions tasks include organizational goals, client growth and retention as well as advising DLB leadership of successes, issues and other project developments. This role operates with some degree of autonomy working with DLB leadership to resolve challenges and driving alignment with DLB’s excellence standards and enterprise objectives.

The Project Manager – Power Solutions will work closely with management as well as be self-directed on day-to-day tasks or assignments and may coordinate activities of other personnel.


This person will communicate and operate in line with organizational goals and values, as well as departmental objectives.


ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

Project Oversight

  • Represent the DLB’s interests across all project phases, verifying alignment with project commitments.
  • Review and support contractor submittals, change orders, pay applications, and project documentation.


Construction Administration & Risk Management

  • Administer contracts for general contractors, subcontractors, and vendors; ensure adherence to commercial and technical terms.


Reporting, Client Engagement & Program Support

  • Produce and present dashboards and progress summaries.
  • Support business development activities by contributing to proposals, presentations, and strategic growth initiatives.


Continuous Improvement & Innovation

  • Drive lessons-learned and process-improvement initiatives to enhance consistency and efficiency across DLB programs.
  • Champion digital and AI-driven tools to improve data analysis, reporting, and predictive performance management.
  • Lead internal training and mentorship sessions to advance construction management best practices.


Technology, Digital Tools & AI-Enabled Efficiency

  • Identify opportunities and lead the strategic use of technology, digital platforms, and AI-enabled tools to enhance efficiency through workflow automation, reduced manual effort, and improved accuracy in forecasting, documentation, reporting, and quality processes.
  • Support adoption of emerging technologies - including advanced analytics, data visualization tools, and digital construction management platforms - to strengthen readiness, quality assurance, and project controls.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure technology solutions align with DLB standards for data security, privacy, and operational integrity.
  • Promote a culture that embraces innovation, continuous improvement, and the strategic use of technology to optimize performance and scalability.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS (INTERMEDIATE LEVEL, UNLESS NOTED OTHERWISE)

  • Skilled in clear, concise communication with both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Skilled in stakeholder management and representing the owner with professionalism when interacting with contractors, designers, and clients.
  • Skilled in completing assignments accurately and with attention to detail.
  • Skilled at using MS Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, Teams), along with exceptional organizational skills for file management.
  • Ability to leverage AI and emerging technologies to streamline workflows, optimize operational processes, and contribute to company-wide innovation
  • Ability to analyze and prepare documents, reports and correspondence.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet close deadlines.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively with remote team members.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is

  • Frequently manipulating, moving or grasping small parts, devices or tools.
  • Frequently required to remain in a stationary position.
  • Frequently moving through various environments, including critical facilities, low / high temperatures, and outdoor elements such as precipitation and wind.
  • Frequently required to ascend/ descend stairs and ladders and move through tight or confined spaces to access equipment.
  • On occasion the employee may be required to position self under or over equipment.
  • On occasion the employee may move equipment weighing up to 50 pounds.


TRAVEL / RELOCATION REQUIREMENTS

  • Must have valid driver's license and ability to rent vehicles
  • Up to 10%, this may include travel to any or all 50 US states unless assigned to an extended project (>6 months; typical assignments 9 months–4 years).
  • Must be located near a major airport.
  • Effective May 7, 2025, and in accordance with U.S. federal regulations for domestic air travel, a valid REAL ID (or an acceptable alternative, such as a passport) is required for travel associated with this position.
  • Travel may involve transportation by car or plane depending on the destination and nature of the business need.
  • Travel is defined as physically leaving home on behalf of business activities including but not limited to client sites, meetings with other employees, meetings for business development purposes, running errands on behalf of the business, attending industry conferences, etc.
  • Potential relocation opportunities may exist per project needs.

CERTIFICATIONS REQUIRED

  • Ability to achieve NFPA 70E and/or OSHA training as required; strict adherence to HSE/LOTO policies.


EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration or related discipline.
