About the Role

The Houseman plays an essential role in delivering the exceptional level of cleanliness, presentation, and service expected at Old Greenwood. This position supports the Housekeeping, Operations, and Rental Programs by maintaining common areas, assisting housekeeping staff, preparing residences for arriving guests and owners, and ensuring supplies, equipment, and amenities are available throughout the property. 


The ideal candidate is dependable, service-oriented, and takes pride in maintaining a clean, safe, and welcoming environment while demonstrating East West Hospitality's commitment to hospitality, teamwork, and continuous improvement. 

 

Status: Full-Time (Schedule may include mornings, evenings, weekends, holidays, and Fridays) 

Department: Housekeeping 

Reports To: Housekeeping Manager / Director of Operations 

Location: Old Greenwood – Truckee, California 

FLSA Status: Non-Exempt 

Wage: $22.00 per hour 

 

 What You'll Do

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: 

Property & Common Area Care 

  • Maintain the cleanliness and appearance of all clubhouse and common areas.  
  • Clean hallways, elevators, entryways, restrooms, fitness facilities, meeting spaces, and other public areas.  
  • Empty trash and recycling receptacles and replace liners as needed.  
  • Maintain outdoor entrances, patios, walkways, and gathering areas in a clean and inviting condition.  
  • Assist with seasonal cleaning projects and deep cleaning initiatives.  

Housekeeping Support 

  • Deliver linens, towels, amenities, and housekeeping supplies to residences and housekeeping staff.  
  • Stock housekeeping closets, storage areas, and supply rooms.  
  • Remove soiled linens, trash, and recyclables from residences and transport them appropriately.  
  • Assist room attendants and housekeepers with heavy lifting, furniture movement, and special cleaning requests.  
  • Support departure, arrival, mid-stay, and inspection preparation as needed.  

Residence Preparation 

  • Prepare residences for owner and guest arrivals.  
  • Complete warm-ups, trash and tidy services, and other assigned property readiness tasks.  
  • Verify residences are appropriately stocked with required guest supplies and amenities.  
  • Report maintenance concerns, damaged items, missing inventory, or safety hazards promptly.  

Operations Support 

  • Assist with special projects, events, owner requests, and operational needs throughout the property.  
  • Support multiple departments when business demands require additional assistance.  
  • Transport supplies, equipment, furniture, and materials throughout the resort.  
  • Maintain organization of storage areas, loading areas, and housekeeping facilities.  

Equipment & Safety 

  • Operate housekeeping equipment safely and responsibly.  
  • Maintain carts, tools, and equipment in clean working order.  
  • Follow all OSHA standards, company safety policies, and proper chemical handling procedures.  
  • Wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) when required.  

Guest & Owner Service 

  • Provide courteous, professional service to owners, guests, residents, vendors, and fellow associates.  
  • Respond promptly and positively to guest requests or direct them to the appropriate team member.  
  • Represent East West Hospitality with professionalism at all times.   

General Responsibilities

  • Protect the privacy and security of owners, guests, and residences.  
  • Demonstrate flexibility by assisting in other operational areas as business needs dictate.

  • Maintain a professional appearance and adhere to company uniform standards.  
  • Follow all company policies, procedures, and safety guidelines.  
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.  

 

About You

 Required 

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.  
  • Previous housekeeping, hospitality, maintenance, or facilities experience is preferred but not required.  
  • Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record may be required.  
  • Ability to communicate effectively in English; bilingual skills are a plus.  
  • Strong customer service and teamwork skills.  
  • Reliable attendance and punctuality.  
  • Must be available to work Fridays, weekends, holidays, and flexible shifts based on business needs.

  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

Physical Requirements 

  • Frequently stand and walk for extended periods.  
  • Frequently bend, kneel, stoop, crouch, reach, and climb stairs.  
  • Lift, carry, push, and pull up to 50 pounds regularly and more with assistance.  
  • Operate housekeeping equipment safely.  
  • Work indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions.  
  • Ability to perform repetitive physical tasks throughout the workday.

The posted pay range represents the hourly rate the Company reasonably expects to pay for this position at the time of hire. Individual compensation will be determined based on qualifications, experience, skills, education, certifications, and business needs.
