Position Purpose

Responsible for providing exceptional customer service while accurately processing a broad range of financial transactions in accordance with established policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements. Builds and deepens relationships with new and existing customers by identifying financial needs and recommending appropriate Bank products and services. This role performs the full range of teller and account-opening responsibilities and contributes to branch sales, service, and operational goals.


Essential Functions

  • Process routine and complex customer transactions accurately and efficiently, including deposits, withdrawals, payments, transfers, cash advances, and official check requests, in accordance with Bank policy and applicable regulations.
  • Open and maintain consumer and business accounts while ensuring complete and accurate documentation and adherence to account opening procedures.
  • Develop strong customer relationships through proactive conversations, needs-based referrals, and education on Bank products, services, and digital banking solutions.
  • Meet or exceed individual goals related to service, referrals, sales activity, and branch performance.
  • Deliver a professional and welcoming customer experience by responding promptly to inquiries, resolving routine issues, and escalating more complex concerns as appropriate.
  • Maintain working knowledge of Bank products, services, systems, and operational procedures in order to effectively support customer needs and branch objectives.
  • Balance cash drawer and teller transactions daily, maintain accurate records, and safeguard cash and negotiable items in accordance with dual control and security standards.
  • Perform operational support duties such as vault transactions, ordering and shipping cash, and branch cash distribution, as assigned.
  • Perform all duties in compliance with Bank Secrecy Act, anti-money laundering, fraud prevention, security, and other applicable regulatory and Bank requirements.
  • Participate in outbound business development activities, community outreach, and networking efforts, as assigned, to support branch growth.
  • Provide support to other branch locations and assist with additional operational or customer service duties as needed.
  • Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.


Qualifications & Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • One year of banking experience required, including cash handling, customer transactions, and daily balancing responsibilities.
  • Experience opening consumer and business accounts and identifying referral opportunities is required.
  • For internal applicants, New Account and Business Account OJT completion is required, as well as a recommendation from branch leadership to be promoted to RB.
  • Demonstrated success in delivering high-quality customer service in a customer-facing environment.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to interact professionally and effectively with customers and coworkers.
  • Ability to remain calm, professional, and solution-oriented in customer facing environment.
  • Active listening, questioning, and problem-solving skills necessary to identify customer needs and recommend appropriate Bank products and services.
  • Ability to work accurately in a customer-facing environment while maintaining attention to detail and operational accuracy.
  • Proficiency with standard office technology, including keyboarding, ten-key, Microsoft Office applications, and banking software systems.
  • Strong organizational skills, sound judgment, adaptability, and attention to detail.
  • Ability to learn and apply Bank policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
  • Ability to meet bonding requirements as needed for future roles.
  • Valid Washington State driver’s license is required if travel between branch locations is expected.
  • Bilingual English/Spanish skills are a plus but not required.


Physical Requirements

Work activities involve combinations of sitting/standing for prolonged periods of time, walking, and lifting up to 25 pounds.


Pay Range

  • The pay range for this position is $21.38 - $36.35 per hour
  • The typical hiring range for this position is $21.38 - $24.54 per hour
  • The incentive plan for this position is the Community Banking Incentive plan. It is paid out quarterly based on performance.
