About the role

We're looking for experienced Nurse Practitioners with Aesthetic experience & full time availability to join our telehealth team as independent contractors. This is flexible, on-demand work that suits you if you want autonomy, and the ability to log on and off to suit your schedule.

Here's what you'll be doing:

You'll conduct real-time video consultations with patients via the Fresh platform, assess their suitability for cosmetic injectable treatments, and where clinically appropriate and within your endorsed scope of practice, prescribe Schedule 4 medicines and issue treatment authorisations for Fresh Clinic treating nurses.

The core work centres on three things: thorough patient consultation and medical assessment, informed consent and collaborative treatment planning, and clinical documentation maintained to the highest standard. You'll work across the full spectrum of non-surgical aesthetics: botulinum toxin, dermal fillers, bio-stimulators, skin boosters, PDO threads, PRP treatments, and comprehensive facial rejuvenation planning.

What you'll do

Patient Assessment & Tele-consultation

• Video Consultations: Conduct mandatory real-time video consultations before issuing any prescription or authorisation.
• Comprehensive Screening: Verify patient identity, review full health histories, and assess contraindications or previous treatments.
• Psychological Suitability: Administer validated screening tools (including BDD screening) for every patient to ensure appropriateness for treatment.

Clinical Decision-Making & Collaboration

• Nurse Collaboration: Partner directly with treating nurses on clinical decision-making and holistic treatment planning.
• Treatment Authorisations: Exercise professional judgment to approve, modify, or decline treatment plans, issuing authorisations with specific conditions or limits via the Fresh platform.

Governance, Documentation & Quality Assurance

• Contemporaneous Documentation: Maintain thorough records for all consultations—including declined treatments—and capture informed consent using app templates.
• Safety & Escalation: Escalate clinical concerns and adverse events promptly through Fresh's governance channels.

• Audit & Peer Review: Actively participate in clinical audits, case reviews, and peer review processes to maintain high standards of care.
  
  

The practical things:

• You're remote and mobile-first. You nominate your own availability and log on to accept consultation requests
• We are looking for practitioners with full time availability, to be rostered, with our peak demand being Tuesday to Saturday, 9am to 6pm; we will also have shifts available Monday, Tuesday, and Sundays
• You'll use the Fresh App on a supported iOS device from a private location with stable internet and good audio/video

We'd love you to have

The Essentials:

• Current Ahpra registration as a Nurse Practitioner with no conditions, undertakings, or restrictions
• Endorsement to prescribe Schedule 4 medicines within your scope of practice
• Demonstrated experience in cosmetic and aesthetic medicine
• Sound working knowledge of Ahpra's non-surgical cosmetic procedures and telehealth guidelines, and the NMBA Nurse Practitioner Standards for Practice
• Current professional indemnity insurance in your own name, meeting NMBA standards and covering telehealth consultation, prescribing, and cosmetic practice, plus run-off cover
• Current CPR certification and competence in recognising and managing cosmetic injectable complications
• Ability to consult independently and make sound clinical decisions in a remote setting
• Reliable supported iOS device, stable internet, and a private consultation space
• National police check
• An Australian Business Number and capacity to invoice as an independent contractor
  
  

Great extras:

• Experience both performing cosmetic injectable treatments and overseeing or authorising them in a clinic or telehealth setting
• Familiarity with cosmetic injectable products, treatment protocols, and complication management
• Availability throughout the week and especially during peak windows (Tuesday–Saturday)
• Comfort working across a digital platform with minimal administrative support
• Strong communication skills and the ability to build rapport quickly in telehealth
• Experience contributing to clinical governance, audit, or committee work
  
  

What You Need to Know
You are the prescriber. Every authorisation you issue carries your professional and legal responsibility. Fresh Clinics provides the platform, protocols, and governance support that make that responsibility manageable—but we don't assume it on your behalf. You'll retain full responsibility for your prescribing and clinical decisions, and you'll practise within your individual endorsed scope of practice and in compliance with all AHPRA guidelines and state/territory health legislation.
