Estimator
About us:
Gaspar's is a woman-owned residential design build remodeler serving greater Seattle homeowners for over 50 years. We help our clients align their homes with their values and their budget. With design, estimating and construction teams under one roof, we understand the value of strong process and collaboration. At Gaspar's we believe - if you live in it, you should love it.
Our purpose is to uplift lives through better spaces, stronger relationships, and meaningful work. That commitment extends to our employees, trade partners, and clients.
About the role
Turn great designs into buildable, well-planned projects.
Gaspar's Design Build Remodel is seeking a detail-driven Estimator to join our Design team and build accurate, complete construction estimates for high-end residential remodeling projects throughout the Greater Seattle area. We are looking for a construction professional who knows how homes are built, understands what things really cost, and can translate a design into a clear scope that our clients, trade partners, and field teams can count on.
Our projects range from approximately $50,000 to more than $2 million and include whole-home remodels, additions, historic homes, complex renovations, and architecturally significant projects. As our Estimator, you sit at the bridge between design and construction, where a thoughtful, accurate estimate sets every project up to succeed.
What you'll do
- Partner with our Design and Sales team from early in the process to make sure every project is buildable and designed with feasibility and real-world costs in mind.
- Schedule and lead subcontractor walk-throughs, averaging 3–5 per month, and build strong, respectful working relationships with our trade partners.
- Compile and evaluate subcontractor bids, write clear project scopes, and create complete, accurate construction estimates for design-build projects.
- Award and schedule subcontractors on sold projects and promptly close the loop with trade partners when a project isn't awarded.
- Write subcontracts, purchase orders, and pre-construction scope and cost change orders for sold projects, setting Production up for a smooth handoff.
- Serve as a go-to resource for field crews with questions about job scope and estimates.
- Participate in weekly Sandler training to continue building your communication and professional skills.
