Business Development Director

At Mobius Renewables, we’re transforming waste into renewable energy and measurable decarbonization. We’re a new global, vertically integrated low carbon fuels platform established to accelerate the development, production, distribution and commercialization of biomethane at scale across North America and Europe.


Position Summary:

We are seeking a highly motivated and versatile professional to support and lead business development within our Renewable Natural Gas (RNG) division. This role will manage essential processes from inception to close of all business development initiatives, marketing efforts, and sustainability programs. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, proactive, and passionate about the growing RNG market.

 

Key Responsibilities:

Business Development & Sales

  • Identify and develop new sales opportunities for Gas Rights origination within municipality landfills, municipality wastewater treatment, and key host site partners
  • Conduct market research to assess customer demand, competitive landscape, and industry trends.
  • Support and lead the preparation of proposals, presentations, and client-facing materials.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, partners, and internal stakeholders.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally to align commercial strategy with company objectives.
  • Track sales performance, customer interactions, and key market insights.

 

Sustainability & Industry Engagement

  • Stay current on regulatory and policy developments impacting RNG markets.
  • Participate in industry groups, coalitions, and policy forums.
  • Support sustainability initiatives and programs promoting RNG and green gas adoption.

 

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Energy, Environmental Science, or a related field.
  • 10-15 years of experience in business development, project development, energy markets, sustainability, or a related field (RNG experience preferred).
  • Strong communication, negotiation, and relationship management skills.
  • Familiarity with M-RETS, RTC markets, gas nominations, or RNG logistics is a plus.
  • Analytical mindset with strong problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, cross-functional environment.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office and CRM tools.
