Senior Data Analyst

The Role

We're looking for a well-rounded Data Analyst who enjoys working across the full analytics lifecycle. Success in this role will be measured by delivering trusted reporting, improving data quality, streamlining analytics processes, and providing proactive, actionable insights that support strategic business decisions.


About you

The ideal person is naturally curious, enjoys solving problems, and can confidently translate business questions into meaningful data insights. They should be eager to learn, take initiative, and want to continue developing their technical and commercial skills.


Key Roles and Responsibilities

  • Partner with stakeholders to gather and translate business requirements into scalable data, reporting, and analytics solutions.
  • Collect, cleanse, transform, and analyse data from multiple sources using SQL and modern analytics tools to deliver actionable insights that support business decisions.
  • Design, develop, and maintain interactive dashboards, reports, data models, and automated data pipelines using Power BI, Databricks, and related technologies.
  • Support data integration, ETL processes, and platform migrations while ensuring data quality, governance, and the development of a trusted single source of truth.
  • Identify opportunities to improve reporting, analytics processes, and data architecture, contributing to continuous improvement and best practice across the data function.
  • Communicate complex analytical findings in a clear and compelling way, providing meaningful insights and recommendations to business stakeholders and senior leaders.


Skills, Knowledge and Experience:

  • 5+ years' experience in a Data Analyst or similar role, with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Advanced SQL expertise, including query optimisation, complex joins, CTEs, window functions, stored procedures, and performance tuning.
  • Strong experience with Power BI and/or Tableau, plus exposure to Databricks, Power Query, and Python for analytics and automation.
  • Solid understanding of data modelling, data warehousing, dimensional modelling, data governance, and data quality principles.
  • Experience using generative AI tools (e.g. OpenAI, Claude, Copilot) to enhance analytics, automation, documentation, and insight generation.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with experience collaborating across cross-functional teams and using Agile tools such as Jira, Confluence, and Git.
