About The Role:

Turn Complex Data into Meaningful Business Insights

Are you passionate about data, analytics, and finding creative ways to solve business problems? Do you enjoy building solutions that take information from multiple systems and transform it into something businesses can actually use to make better decisions?

At JMARK, we're looking for a Data and Analytics Integration Specialist II to join our growing AI Operations team.

This is an opportunity to work with modern data technologies, including Databricks, Python, PySpark, Terraform, and API integrations, while helping businesses unlock the value of their data.

You'll play an important role in designing data models, building integrations, developing dashboards, and delivering analytics solutions that help our clients make smarter, more informed decisions.

We're looking for someone who enjoys digging into the details, solving complex problems, collaborating with others, and taking ownership of their work. Just as importantly, we're looking for someone who wants to continue learning and growing as technology evolves.

What You'll Be Doing

Data Engineering & Integration

  • Design, build, and maintain Common Data Models (CDMs) that support clients across industries such as financial services, healthcare, legal, government, and hospitality.
  • Develop and manage data integrations connecting multiple applications, systems, and APIs.
  • Build reusable Databricks notebooks, jobs, and Python modules to streamline data processing and improve efficiency.
  • Use Python and PySpark to transform raw data into structured, accurate, and reliable information.
  • Develop and maintain infrastructure-as-code solutions using Terraform.
  • Troubleshoot complex data integration issues and optimize performance, reliability, and cost.
  • Implement data quality, validation, and reconciliation processes to ensure accuracy and consistency.

Analytics & Business Intelligence

  • Work directly with clients to understand their business goals, reporting requirements, and key performance indicators (KPIs).
  • Design and develop dashboards, reports, and automated alerts that provide meaningful business insights.
  • Transform complex data into easy-to-understand visualizations that help clients make informed decisions.
  • Develop reusable reporting templates, data dictionaries, and analytics standards.
  • Help clients understand and effectively use their dashboards and reporting tools.
  • Ensure reporting solutions are accurate, secure, and aligned with client business objectives.

Security, Collaboration & Continuous Improvement

  • Apply security best practices to protect client data and ensure appropriate access controls.
  • Follow secure development practices, change management procedures, and established data governance standards.
  • Collaborate with JMARK's AI Operations team, engineers, and client-facing teams to deliver effective solutions.
  • Provide technical guidance and mentorship to less experienced team members.
  • Identify opportunities to improve processes, automation, and overall solution quality.
  • Maintain clear documentation and communicate project progress, challenges, and solutions.

What We're Looking For

We understand that great candidates don't always have experience with every technology. We're looking for someone with a strong technical foundation, demonstrated problem-solving ability, and the desire to continue developing their skills.

Technical Experience & Skills

  • Experience working with Databricks or similar cloud-based data engineering platforms.
  • Proficiency with Python and PySpark for data processing, transformation, and integration.
  • Experience building integrations using APIs, including authentication and data retrieval.
  • Familiarity with Terraform or similar infrastructure-as-code technologies.
  • Experience developing dashboards, reports, and data visualizations using business intelligence tools.
  • Understanding of data modeling, data pipelines, and data quality best practices.
  • Experience working with cloud environments, preferably AWS.
  • Knowledge of data security, access controls, and governance practices.
  • Ability to troubleshoot technical challenges and develop scalable, reliable solutions.

Experience & Education

  • Typically 3–4 years of hands-on experience in data engineering, data integration, analytics, or a related field, or demonstrated equivalent technical competence.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Analytics, or a related field; relevant technical certifications; or equivalent professional experience.
  • Experience taking ownership of data integration projects, data models, or analytics solutions.
  • Experience working directly with clients or business stakeholders to understand requirements and deliver solutions.
  • Previous experience in a managed services environment is a plus.

What Will Help You Succeed

Technical ability is important, but how you approach your work matters just as much.

The ideal candidate will:

  • Be naturally curious. You enjoy understanding how things work, asking questions, and finding better ways to accomplish tasks.
  • Take ownership. You're comfortable managing projects and seeing solutions through from beginning to end.
  • Think analytically. You can break down complex challenges, identify root causes, and develop practical solutions.
  • Communicate effectively. You can explain technical concepts to both technical and nontechnical audiences.
  • Have a client-first mindset. You understand that technology is only valuable when it helps people and businesses succeed.
  • Enjoy collaboration. You work well with others, share knowledge, and contribute to the success of the team.
  • Embrace continuous learning. You're excited about emerging technologies, AI, analytics, and opportunities to expand your expertise.
