Job Summary

  • A Machine Operator is responsible for keeping the food manufacturing process running efficiently and safely. They will also assist in the preparation, cooking, packaging, and quality control of food products. This role ensures that production standards, safety guidelines, and hygiene practices are strictly followed to deliver high-quality food items efficiently

Key Responsibilities 

  • Monitor production lines to ensure efficiency, accuracy and compliance with quality standards
  • Possess overall knowledge and understanding of the entire production line
  • Perform routine maintenance and troubleshoot minor mechanical issues
  • Operate food production machinery and equipment in compliance with CGMP (Current Good Manufacturing Practices) and FDA regulations.  Also maintain quality and production standards while operating equipment
  • Complete production documentation and maintain accurate records
  • Prepare ingredients according to recipes and production guidelines
  • Monitor the quality and consistency of food products
  • Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards in the work area including tools and equipment
  • Follow all safety and health regulations, including proper food handling and storage
  • Checking instruments for example temperature gauges and metal detectors, at customary intervals 
  • Pack and label finished products accurately
  • Assist in inventory management by tracking supplies and ingredients
  • Collaborate with team members and supervisors to meet production goals and maintain workflow efficiency (including minimization of food waste) 
  • Work with the team to resolve any equipment malfunctions, people or food safety hazards immediately
  • Works with the team to make sure the production line has a regular supply of raw materials or components 
  • Transports food supplies to and from internal site locations as required 
  • Perform function of other positions within area of responsibility for the purpose of providing overall coverage food production operations  

Occupational Health and Safety 

  • Adopt a culture of safe working
  • Follow all Company Health and Safety Policies and Procedures 
  • Attend training and tool box talks on safe working practices

Food Safety 

  • Ensure standard processes performing are according to our food safety policies and processes including our HACCP and CGMP programs
  • Report any food safety risks
  • Attend training with QA/Technical team to learn about our food safety program

Qualifications & Job Requirements 

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred. Technical training a plus.
  • Minimum 1 years’ experience in food production industry in processing
  • Ability to follow detailed instructions and work in a fast-paced environment
  • English language (verbal/listening/written/reading)
  • Numeracy skills (add, subtract, divide, multiply) 
  • Able to problem solve, service oriented and able to multi task
  • Strong understanding of sanitation practices within the food industry.
  • Knowledge of food safety standards (e.g., FDA, USDA, HACCP, GMP) is helpful
  • Strong attention to detail and teamwork skills
  • Training Provided


Physical Job Requirements 

  • Food manufacturing environment working in production area(s) 
  • Good physical stamina 
  • Ability to walk around production facility and stand for extended periods
  • Ability to lift to 50 lbs
  • Ability to stoop, bend, squat, kneel, twist and reach
