Purpose of the Role

Join our dynamic team as a Fraud Analyst for our Sportsbook, where you will play a pivotal role to ensure continuous risk management and pro-actively anticipate issues to minimize risk exposure in our Sportsbook activities. Identify and investigate potentially fraudulent account activities and set measures in place to mitigate. You will be also involved in analyzing customer behaviour.


Responsibilities:

  • Verify all the required new real money accounts created which are flagged by our reports.
  • Verify accounts which hit velocity checks for transactions made on deposit options.
  • Verify accounts which fail internal control checks and block them to mitigate abuse.
  • Verify accounts where financial information misuse is suspected.
  • Carry out required and mandatory KYC checks along with document validation.
  • Withdrawal verification involving all aspects including game play checks to ensure fair play before any money is paid out.
  • Address player contacts via email & escalations, with respect to their account and any risk related concerns.
  • Validate financial documents and other player proofs associated with the account.


Requirements:

  • Grade 12 or equivalent.
  • Experience in working for an international contact centre.
  • Previous Fraud & Risk experience (minimum 2 years) preferably in the sports betting or online gambling industry.
  • Understanding of sports betting concepts, odds calculations, and industry regulations will be an advantage.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to articulate complex concepts clearly and concisely.
  • Outstanding interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport, empathise with customers, and deliver exceptional service.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and a proactive mindset to resolve customer issues effectively and efficiently.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment with a strong sense of accountability.
  • Ability to work 24/7 shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
