Mytra

Senior PLM Specialist

About Mytra:

We’re creating an entirely new way to solve the most ubiquitous problem in industry - moving and storing material. We’re applying robotics and distributed software to create a new class of product for this $1T market. We’re focused on the supply chain industry first. The industry is in a massive bind with the continued growth of e-commerce, sharp rise in costs, and supply chain disruptions. What has been a “sleepy” industry for decades is now at the epicenter of sustaining the global economy.

About the role:

Mytra’s Operations team is looking for a Senior PLM Specialist to support the execution of engineering changes across multiple programs and products.

The Senior PLM Specialist will manage and maintain product configuration data, ensuring that changes to hardware, software, and processes are accurately documented, reviewed, and released in alignment with established procedures.

You’ll collaborate closely with engineering, operations, quality, supply chain, and product teams to coordinate change activities, verify documentation accuracy, and ensure smooth implementation across the organization.

This is a hands-on role suited for someone who thrives in a dynamic, technical environment and enjoys working within structured processes to ensure data integrity and configuration control.

What you'll do:

  • Support the maintenance and improvement of the BOM revision process, ensuring revisions are accurately tracked and compliant with engineering specifications and program requirements.
  • Coordinate change control activities across hardware, firmware, manufacturing, and supply chain to ensure timely evaluation, approval, and implementation of engineering changes.
  • Assist in documenting and updating internal change control procedures, workflows, and training materials, supporting consistent understanding and adoption across teams.
  • Lead data cleanup and validation efforts across CAD, PLM, and ERP systems, identifying discrepancies in part and configuration data, driving cross-functional corrections, and ensuring alignment across systems of record.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, iterative environment and adapting to changing priorities.
  • Coordinate and execute change control activities within the PLM system (e.g., Duro, Arena), ensuring accurate documentation, data integrity, and full traceability across revisions.
  • Maintain and update bills of materials (BOMs), CAD drawings, schematics, part specifications, SOPs, and work instructions to reflect approved engineering changes and ensure timely release to manufacturing and supply chain.
  • Lead part data cleanup and validation activities across CAD, PLM, and ERP systems to ensure accurate part metadata, revision control, and alignment between systems of record.
  • Support project timelines for BOM and change implementation across multiple programs, tracking milestones and communicating progress to stakeholders in engineering, operations, and product teams.
  • Assist with the integration of change control data between PLM and ERP/MRP systems, ensuring consistency between engineering and production part records.
  • Collaborate closely with mechanical, electrical, firmware, software, and manufacturing engineering teams to coordinate changes, resolve discrepancies, and ensure smooth release of engineering updates.
  • Monitor and report key change control metrics (e.g., cycle time, backlog, release accuracy) and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives within established procedures.

Ideal Candidate:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Operations, Manufacturing, or a related technical field (or equivalent practical experience).
  • 2+ years of hands-on experience in change control, configuration management, document control, or product data management, ideally within a hardware, robotics, or manufacturing environment.
  • Familiarity with hardware and software development lifecycles, including rapid prototyping and agile product development.
  • Experience using PLM / MRP / ERP systems (e.g., Duro, Arena, ION, NetSuite, Odoo, Acumatica) for part and BOM management.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills; able to balance accuracy with efficiency in day-to-day execution.
  • Effective communicator who can coordinate across engineering, operations, and supply chain teams.

Nice to have:

  • Experience with both hardware and embedded software change control processes. (Duro, Arena, Solidworks, Allspice)
  • Understanding of ISO 9001, ISO 13485, or other quality/regulatory standards.
  • Exposure to early-stage manufacturing scale-up and supply chain transitions.
  • Familiarity with Jira, Linear, Git, Google Suite, or software version control concepts.
  • Lean, Six Sigma, or Agile/SAFe certification a plus.

A Final Note:

You’re encouraged to apply even if you can’t take on every example project in its totality. We work closely and collaboratively at Mytra - No one takes on projects alone. We seek people who are eager to work together, learn new things, and bring unique perspectives.

Benefits Include:

  • Competitive compensation and equity grants at a high-growth company backed by top-tier VCs
  • Fully subsidized health coverage, including medical (baseline plans), dental, and vision for employees and dependents
