Optimyl Benefits

Regional Sales Representative

Let’s deliver value to small employers, together.

Optimyl Benefits provides accessible, high-quality, and easy-to-use health plans for employers with 2 to 50 employees. We partner exclusively with the broker community, enabling employers to offer competitive benefits that provide value.

The Regional Sales Representative drives profitable growth by developing durable broker partnerships in the small group market. The position reports to the Regional Vice President of Sales and is central to our broker-first distribution model. As an independent company, Optimyl acts quickly on sound ideas, and our employees have a genuine voice in how the business operates.

No prior sales or health insurance experience is required. We hire for drive and coachability, and we teach the product and the process. Optimyl also pays for your life and health license.

This is a full-time, in-office role based in Phoenix, AZ.

What to Expect in This Role

The role is built on consistent outbound activity. You will engage licensed life and health brokers through 40 or more calls each day, as well as virtual and in-person meetings. That cadence is how broker partnerships are built, and it remains central to the position well beyond onboarding.

Performance is measured. You will have defined daily activity metrics and production goals, and you will always know precisely where you stand.

The position is in-office, five days per week. This is not a remote or hybrid role, and candidates must reside within 35 miles of Phoenix.

Regional travel is required, approximately 15 to 20 percent, to strengthen broker relationships in person.

Compensation is performance-based. The base salary is guaranteed; earnings above it are earned through production.

The broker base you build is your own. You will develop new broker relationships, train them in our product and processes, and serve as their consultative resource. The relationships you establish early become the foundation of your production and long-term success.

What you'll do

  • Cultivate relationships with an assigned deck of licensed life and health brokers through calls, virtual meetings, and in-person visits
  • Introduce brokers to Optimyl's small group product offerings and train them on our product positioning and sales process

  • Effective organizational and time management skills
  • Motivated by performance-based compensation and clear, measurable goals
  • Able to obtain a life and health license, which Optimyl pays for
  • Resides in Phoenix or within 35 miles of Phoenix
