What You’ll Do

The Vice President of Professional Services is the senior executive accountable for the overall health, performance, and strategic direction of the PS organization. This leader owns the full P&L of the professional services business, sets the vision for how the company delivers software implementations, and ensures the organization scales to meet growth while maintaining quality and profitability. The VP directly leads two directors whose functions are mutually dependent: the Director of PS Operations (process, workforce, and enablement) and the Director of Delivery (client execution and revenue). The VP is responsible for ensuring these two functions operate in tight coordination and that the organization as a whole delivers consistent, excellent results for clients. 


In this role, you will:

  • Define and communicate the strategy, operating model, and long-term vision for the PS organization in alignment with company objectives.
  • Establish the organizational structure, roles, and capacity required to support the company's growth trajectory.
  • Develop and present the PS business plan annually, including headcount, revenue, margin, and investment targets.
  • Own the PS P&L, including revenue, cost of delivery, gross margin, and contribution margin.
  • Set and manage annual budgets in partnership with Finance; hold accountability for achieving quarterly and annual financial targets.
  • Drive pricing strategy for PS engagements in collaboration with Sales and Finance, balancing competitiveness with margin requirements.
  • Leads the Project Manager and Application Consultant teams in day to day activities
  • Provides constructive and timely performance input to evaluations. 
  • Manages the conversion team
  • Serve as the executive sponsor for the company's most strategic client relationships during and after implementation.
  • Intervene personally on critical escalations, acting as the highest point of resolution within PS.
  • Champion a customer-first culture in which delivery teams are empowered and accountable for client success.
  • Partner with Sales and Account Management to ensure PS is positioned as a strategic differentiator in the sales process.


What You’ll Need to Join Our Team

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Technology or related field or equivalent work experience.
  • MBA or advanced degree in Business, Technology, or a related field, preferred.
  • 12+ years of experience in professional services, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role with P&L ownership.
  • Demonstrated success leading and scaling a PS organization at a software or SaaS company.
  • Proven track record of building and developing high-performing leadership teams.
  • Strong executive presence with the ability to influence at the C-suite level, both internally and with customers.
  • Deep understanding of software implementation lifecycle, delivery methodologies, and PS operating models.
  • Experience managing a hybrid or matrixed organizational structure.
  • Financial acumen with demonstrated ability to manage to revenue, margin, and utilization targets.
  • Experience leading PS through a period of rapid growth or significant organizational transformation, preferred.
  • Familiarity with enterprise SaaS platforms and the implementation ecosystems that support them, preferred.
  • Experience building or launching new service offerings (e.g., managed services, advisory, training), preferred

Although the role is open to remote candidates, PCMI can only hire employees in the following states:

Note: It is required for this role to be in the Park Ridge, IL office 2 days per week if candidate is located in the Chicagoland area.
