Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and execute Pinnacle’s Canadian retail distribution strategy, establishing a scalable market presence from Toronto and delivering agreed sales, asset-raising and client-engagement objectives.
• Build and manage relationships with financial advisors, dealer and wealth-management firms, portfolio managers, investment counsellors, platforms, research teams and other retail intermediaries across Canada.
• Represent Pinnacle and its Affiliate investment managers with credibility, translating sophisticated investment strategies into clear, compelling propositions for Canadian retail and wealth audiences.
• Originate, qualify and convert new business opportunities; maintain disciplined pipeline management, activity reporting, forecasting and follow-through.
• Lead product positioning, market-entry planning and distribution campaigns in partnership with Affiliate teams, marketing, investment specialists, operations, legal and compliance.
• Develop a deep understanding of Canadian investor needs, advisor business models, competitive dynamics and regional opportunities, and provide actionable market intelligence to senior stakeholders.
• Ensure all distribution activity, communications and records are completed in accordance with applicable Canadian securities laws, regulatory requirements, internal policies and approved materials.
• Deliver high-quality ongoing service to clients and distribution partners, coordinating responses and solutions across Pinnacle and its Affiliates.
• Represent Pinnacle at industry conferences, advisor events and partner meetings, with regular travel across Canada as required.
• Contribute to the design and growth of the Canadian distribution capability, including future team, process and technology requirements as the business scales.

Desired Skills and Experience:

• A strong record of success in Canadian retail or wealth-management distribution within asset management or a closely related financial-services environment.
• Established relationships across the Canadian advisor, dealer, platform and wealth-management market, with the ability to develop new partnerships from the ground up.
• Demonstrated experience developing and executing a national sales strategy, building pipelines and delivering measurable fundraising outcomes.
• Strong knowledge of investment products, capital markets and portfolio construction, with the ability to communicate complex strategies clearly to sophisticated intermediaries.
• Sound understanding of the Canadian securities and investment-fund distribution environment, including the roles of provincial regulators, the Canadian Securities Administrators and CIRO.
• Relevant Canadian registration, licensing or proficiency credentials, where required for the activities performed, or the ability to obtain them within an agreed timeframe.
• Exceptional communication, presentation, negotiation and stakeholder-management skills, with an entrepreneurial, accountable and collaborative approach.
• Resilience, integrity and sound judgement, with the capacity to operate effectively in a lean, high-growth environment and build a long-term career with Pinnacle.
• A relevant tertiary qualification in business, commerce, finance, economics or a related discipline; an advanced investment designation such as the CFA is advantageous.
• A minimum 5 years work experience in investment management sales & distribution.
