Summary

As a Junior Video Associate at Potomac, you will play a supporting role in producing high‑quality video content that elevates our brand across all channels. You'll assist in every stage of the video process—planning, filming, editing, and preparing content for distribution.

This role is a great fit for a proactive, detail-oriented creative who is eager to build their videography and editing skills in a fast-paced, hands-on environment. Working closely with our creative team and under the guidance of senior video staff, you'll help ensure brand consistency, strong storytelling, and engaging content that aligns with Potomac's vision.

Additionally, we utilize the Entrepreneurial Operating System (EOS) to keep our teams focused and accountable, helping us identify and address challenges and opportunities effectively.

Every piece of content you touch will contribute to elevating Potomac's visual identity.


This role is 100% onsite in Bethesda, MD.


What You'll Do

  • Edit a high volume of short-form and long-form video content, spending most of your time in post-production
  • Help organize, archive, and maintain a library of video assets, supporting brand consistency across all visuals
  • Create short video clips from finished productions for use on social media
  • Review long-form video content created by the Videographer and help identify compelling, concise clips suitable for social platforms
  • Help set up and operate the podcast studio, including Blackmagic camera systems, studio lighting, and professional-grade audio equipment
  • Capture behind-the-scenes photography and videography to document production days and support marketing and social content

Qualifications

Required

  • Ability to work on-site in Bethesda, MD
  • 1-2 years professional or internship experience, or demonstrable equivalent experience in video production or a related field
  • A video-related degree or certification is preferred but not required for a candidate with a strong portfolio
  • Demonstrable photography and videography skills, including basic camera operation and lighting
  • Strong organizational skills, including time management and attention to detail
  • Ability to stay calm and follow direction when working under deadline pressure

Preferred

  • Familiarity with web-based video editing tools such as Canva and Opus Clips
  • Experience working with Adobe Creative Suite

Objectives

  • Support and help grow the volume of video content we produce
  • Comply with legal and compliance regulations at all times
  • Assist with studio setup and teardown for a variety of set designs
  • Help ensure visual assets adhere to brand guidelines for style, color, and voice
  • Build familiarity with current social media trends and video formats

Salary

$50,000-$60,000 plus discretionary bonus
