Job Title: School Psychologist

Location: Remote (Arizona-based candidates preferred)
Reports to: Director of Special Programs
Employment Type: Exempt / Full-Time

About Primavera Online School:

Primavera Online School is an accredited, tuition-free public charter school serving students across Arizona for more than 25 years. We specialize in flexible, student-centered online education designed to meet learners where they are—academically, emotionally, and socially.

We believe every student deserves access to an education that adapts to their life, not the other way around. At Primavera, we support diverse learners, empower families, and partner closely with educators to create personalized learning experiences that drive real outcomes. Our work is grounded in care, accountability, and a deep commitment to helping students succeed—both in school and beyond.

As a fully remote organization, we value clear communication, collaboration, and ownership. You’ll find a mission-driven team that takes its responsibility to students seriously while supporting one another as professionals and humans.

The Team You Will Join:

You’ll be part of the Student Services team, working closely with special education staff, school leaders, teachers, and families. This team supports student success by ensuring students receive the academic, social-emotional, and behavioral supports they need to thrive.

The team culture is collaborative, supportive, mission-driven, and you'll have opportunities to learn, grow, influence, improve systems, and support students while partnering across Primavera Online School.

The Difference You Will Make:

In this role, your work will directly impact students and families by ensuring students receive appropriate evaluations, services, and support to help them succeed academically and socially.

You’ll play a key role in the special education evaluation process, helping identify student needs, guiding intervention strategies, and collaborating with school teams to support positive student outcomes. Your expertise will help ensure that students receive the right services at the right time while supporting compliance with state and federal requirements.

A Typical Day Looks Like:

While no two days are exactly the same, you can expect to:

  • Conduct psycho-educational evaluations and re-evaluations as part of a multidisciplinary team.
  • Administer, score, and interpret intellectual, academic, social-emotional, and behavioral assessments.
  • Participate in and facilitate meetings such as METs, IEPs, and crisis response teams.
  • Consult with teachers, administrators, families, and intervention teams to identify student needs and support strategies.
  • Maintain accurate documentation and ensure evaluations are completed within required timelines.
  • Collaborate with your supervisor and colleagues to review student cases, protocols, and best practices.
  • This position requires availability to work core business hours of 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM Arizona time, Monday through Friday

This role balances independent assessment work with strong collaboration and is well-suited for someone who enjoys supporting students, solving complex learning challenges, and partnering with educators and families.

Your Expertise Includes:

We’re looking for someone who brings:

  • A Graduate degree in School Psychology.
  • A valid Arizona Standard School Psychologist, Prekindergarten–12 Certificate.
  • A valid Arizona Department of Public Safety Identity Verified Prints (IVP) fingerprint card.
  • Experience conducting psycho-educational evaluations and interpreting assessment data.
  • Strong analytical, reasoning, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with students, families, educators, and administrators.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple cases, priorities, and deadlines.
  • Ability to maintain professionalism, confidentiality, and composure in sensitive situations.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and general reporting/documentation tools.

Bonus points if you also have:

  • Five or more years of experience working as a School Psychologist.
  • Experience working in diverse or virtual learning environments.
  • Experience collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to support student interventions and services.

We are committed to fostering an inclusive, respectful workplace where all team members feel valued, supported, and empowered to contribute their best work. Diverse ideas strengthen our school, improve outcomes for students, and help us better serve the families and communities who rely on us.

All qualified individuals are encouraged to apply, and we strive to create an environment where everyone feels a true sense of belonging and purpose.

How We'll Take Care of You:

We believe that supporting our team members is essential to supporting our students. At Primavera, care, balance, and well-being are part of how we operate—not extras.

Our commitment to you includes:

  • A competitive total compensation package, including medical, dental, vision, and voluntary benefits
  • Well-being that works for real life—from an on-site gym, virtual wellness programs, and wellness coaching to flexible work options for select roles, because your well-being fuels your brilliance
  • Unlimited PTO for salaried roles and “life happens” days when you need flexibility
