About the role

The Compliance Operations Manager is a newly created role on the Reach Financial compliance team, reporting directly to the Vice President of Compliance. This is an operationally-minded position for someone who thrives on building structure, driving process improvement, and keeping complex workstreams organized and on track. While compliance knowledge is valued, the right candidate brings a strong foundation in project and operations management and is eager to apply those skills in a highly regulated, fast-moving environment.

This role will be instrumental in maturing the compliance function — playing a vital role at the operational level of the team, bringing consistency, efficiency, and audit-readiness as the company grows. Compliance knowledge will continue to develop naturally through close collaboration with the VP of Compliance. As the team expands, this role may grow to include direct people management responsibilities.

What you'll do

• Lead project management for compliance workstreams, maintaining timelines, tracking deliverables, and keeping stakeholders informed and aligned.
• Own and drive compliance process improvement initiatives, identifying operational gaps and implementing scalable solutions across the compliance function.
• Own issue and remediation tracking across the compliance function — maintaining an accurate, up-to-date view of open findings, corrective action plans, and remediation commitments, and driving items through to resolution.
• Build and maintain audit-readiness infrastructure, including documentation libraries, evidence repositories, and preparation protocols for regulatory examinations and third-party audits.
• Identify and implement automation opportunities, including the use of AI tools, to reduce manual effort and improve consistency across compliance workflows.
• Develop and maintain internal compliance procedures, playbooks, and operational documentation to support a growing team.
• Coordinate cross-functional dependencies with business, product, and operations teams to ensure compliance requirements are met on time.
• Own reporting cycles by gathering data, managing trackers, and preparing materials for senior management and stakeholders.

What you should have

• 3–5 years of experience in operations, project management, or a related field; experience in a compliance, legal, or financial services environment is a plus.
• Demonstrated ability to lead projects end-to-end, manage competing priorities, and deliver results under deadlines.
• Strong organizational skills with a keen eye for process gaps and a natural instinct for building systems and structure.
• Familiarity with compliance concepts, regulatory frameworks, or audit processes — either through direct experience or adjacent roles.
• Proficiency with productivity and project management tools (e.g., Microsoft Office Suite, project trackers, workflow or automation tools).
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills; able to distill complex information clearly for different audiences.
• Collaborative mindset with the ability to build relationships and influence without direct authority.
• Self-starter who is comfortable operating in an ambiguous, fast-paced environment and can create clarity where it doesn't yet exist.
