About the role

We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead the execution of wind turbine repower projects from pre-award
through close-out. This role owns the full project lifecycle in an EPC Lite model — driving civil engineering
coordination, civil construction scopes, permitting, procurement/parts logistics, and field construction management.
The ideal candidate is a hands-on PM who can manage multiple workstreams simultaneously, work directly with
subcontractors and engineering firms, and keep projects on schedule and on budget while maintaining a strong safety
culture

Project Leadership & Coordination

• Serve as the primary point of accountability for assigned repower projects, from pre-construction planning through
  commissioning and close-out.
• Develop and maintain integrated project schedules covering engineering, permitting, procurement, and construction milestones.
• Manage project budgets, forecast costs, track change orders, and report on financial performance.
• Coordinate internal teams and external partners (owners, OEMs, engineering firms, subcontractors) to ensure alignment on scope, schedule, and deliverables.

Civil Engineering & Civil Scopes

• Manage third-party civil engineering deliverables (foundation assessments, crane pad design, access road design,
  drainage, etc.) related to turbine repower requirements.
• Review and coordinate engineering submittals, RFIs, and design changes with civil engineers and internal stakeholders.
• Oversee civil construction scopes including roads, crane pads, laydown areas, and foundation. modifications/reinforcements as required by repower scope.
• Ensure civil work meets site conditions, OEM requirements, and project specifications.

Permitting

• Identify and manage all required permits (local, state, environmental, transportation/oversize load, etc.) for each project.
• Coordinate with landowners, AHJs (authorities having jurisdiction), and regulatory agencies to secure approvals on schedule.
• Track permit conditions and ensure ongoing compliance throughout construction.

Procurement & Parts Management

• Manage procurement and logistics of repower kits, major components, and balance-of-plant materials.
• Track lead times, delivery schedules, and coordinate with suppliers/OEMs to resolve parts shortages or delays.
• Maintain accurate inventory and delivery documentation to support construction sequencing.

Construction Management

• Oversee subcontractors and field crews to ensure safe, quality, on-schedule execution.
• Conduct or coordinate regular site visits/inspections to monitor progress and address field issues.
• Lead project meetings (internal, client, subcontractor) and provide clear, timely status reporting.
• Manage punch lists, quality control, and turnover/commissioning documentation.

Safety & Compliance

• Champion a strong safety culture on every project; ensure subcontractor compliance with site-specific safety plans.
• Ensure all work complies with applicable codes, OEM technical requirements, and contractual obligations.

Preferred

• Direct experience with wind turbine repower, repowering, or upgrade projects.
• Familiarity with OEM repower kits (GE, Vestas, Siemens Gamesa, etc.)
• Experience with civil design review (foundations, roads, crane pads)
• OSHA 30 certification.
• PMP certification or equivalent.

Physical Requirements & Work Environment

• Ability to work at active construction sites, including exposure to outdoor conditions, heights, and heavy equipment
  areas.
• Standard PPE compliance required on-site.
• Combination of office/remote work and field travel.

Required

• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent
  experience)
• 5+ years of project management experience in wind energy, renewable energy construction, heavy civil, or utility-scale infrastructure
• Demonstrated experience managing civil scopes, permitting processes, and construction subcontractors
• Strong understanding of project scheduling, budgeting, and cost control
• Proficiency with project management and scheduling software (e.g., MS Project, Procore, Primavera)
• Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills
• Ability to travel to project sites as needed (frequency varies by project load)
• Valid driver's license
