About the role

The Planning Assistant is responsible for assisting with the planning of all required production within the timeframes determined by customer orders and sales forecasts, also the allocation of finished goods to sales orders for dispatch both direct to customers and to external warehouses.

What you'll do

  • Successfully understand the different products packed
  • Maintain inventory of product available, minimizing both overstock and out of stock occurrences
  • Analyse the supply and demand on product and forecast orders
  • Monitor customer and/or contracted orders 
  • Allocate finished goods to contracted orders for delivery within specified timeframe.
  • Take corrective action to develop resolutions.
  • Ensure information is correct and thoroughly communicated with production line and quality department.
  • Identify effective solutions to supply on orders in demands
  • Communicating with the trading and sales team and customers
  • Ensuring effective production planning for the site
  • Liaising, estimating, and advising of lead-times on orders with other departments
  • Utilising and maintaining the planning tool

What we're looking for

  • Sound computer skills including knowledge of Microsoft Office.
  • Good time management and organisational skills.

  • Good communication and Interpersonal skills.
