About the role

The Recruiter leads full-cycle recruiting for Skyeton’s growing U.S. organization, with primary support for the Fayetteville manufacturing operation and additional technical, engineering, corporate, and flight-operations hiring as assigned. This position partners with hiring leaders to define talent needs, develop sourcing strategies, evaluate candidates, coordinate an efficient selection process, and deliver a professional candidate experience.

Success requires proactive sourcing, strong judgment, timely follow-through, accurate recruiting records, and the ability to attract talent in competitive aerospace, defense, manufacturing, and engineering markets. The Recruiter serves as a credible ambassador for Skyeton and helps ensure each hire has the qualifications, reliability, and cultural alignment needed to support the mission.

What you'll do

Manage full-cycle recruiting for hourly manufacturing, skilled trades, engineering, quality, supply chain, program management, flight operations, and corporate positions

• Partner with hiring managers to clarify role requirements, required competencies, staffing priorities, interview teams, selection criteria, and target hiring timelines

• Create and maintain accurate job descriptions and job postings that reflect position requirements, Skyeton’s culture, and applicable employment and export-control language

• Develop position-specific sourcing strategies using applicant-tracking systems, professional networks, job boards, social media, colleges, trade schools, military-transition programs, career fairs, referrals, and direct outreach

• Proactively identify and engage passive candidates for difficult-to-fill aerospace, defense, engineering, manufacturing, and leadership roles

• Review applications and resumes, conduct structured phone interviews, evaluate technical and cultural alignment, and provide clear recommendations to hiring managers

• Assess candidates consistently against role qualifications and Skyeton’s six cultural pillars while maintaining fair, job-related, and well-documented selection practices

• Coordinate interviews, candidate travel when applicable, hiring-team schedules, feedback collection, and timely candidate communications throughout the process

• Prepare interview guides, candidate summaries, compensation information, offer recommendations, and other recruiting materials for hiring leaders

• Conduct compensation research and collaborate with HR and leadership to develop competitive, internally consistent offers within approved parameters

• Extend verbal and written offers, manage negotiations within authorized limits, and maintain candidate engagement through acceptance and start date

• Coordinate pre-employment requirements, including references, background checks, drug screens, employment eligibility documentation, and other position-specific conditions

• Partner with HR and hiring managers to support a smooth transition from candidate acceptance through onboarding and first-day readiness

• Maintain complete and accurate candidate dispositions, interview documentation, requisition activity, offer data, and recruiting records in the applicant-tracking system

• Track and report recruiting metrics, including applicant flow, source effectiveness, time to fill, aging requisitions, offer acceptance, hiring progress, and recruiting risks

• Build and maintain talent pipelines for recurring and anticipated hiring needs and support workforce planning for organizational growth and new facilities

• Represent Skyeton at recruiting events, career fairs, community partnerships, military-transition events, colleges, universities, and technical training programs

• Strengthen Skyeton’s employer brand through accurate, engaging recruiting communications and consistent representation of the employee value proposition

• Support recruiting compliance, including EEO, affirmative action, OFCCP-related recordkeeping, applicant disposition, pay transparency, I-9, E-Verify, and applicable federal and state requirements

• Coordinate appropriately with HR, Security, and authorized leaders regarding U.S.-person, ITAR/EAR, clearance, confidentiality, and controlled-information requirements

• Protect confidential candidate, compensation, employee, customer, and business information and use sound judgment when communicating sensitive matters

• Identify opportunities to simplify and improve recruiting processes, candidate experience, hiring-manager service, reporting, and talent-pipeline quality

• Support other talent-acquisition and HR projects and perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in human resources, business administration, communications, or a related field; equivalent relevant experience may be considered

• 3+ years of full-cycle recruiting experience with responsibility for sourcing, screening, interview coordination, candidate management, offers, and recruiting documentation

• Demonstrated success sourcing and closing candidates in competitive or difficult-to-fill markets

• Experience recruiting for manufacturing, skilled trades, engineering, technical, operations, or professional positions

• Ability to conduct structured interviews, evaluate job-related evidence, and provide concise candidate recommendations to hiring leaders

• Working knowledge of employment-related recruiting requirements, including EEO principles, applicant recordkeeping, consistent selection practices, and appropriate interview questions

• Experience using an applicant-tracking system, online sourcing tools, job boards, social media, and Microsoft Office applications

• Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to engage candidates and work effectively with employees, managers, and executives

• Strong organization, prioritization, attention to detail, and follow-through while managing multiple requisitions and changing business needs

• High level of integrity, discretion, professionalism, and ability to safeguard confidential information

• Ability to work on-site and travel occasionally for recruiting events or support of other Skyeton locations

• Must qualify as a U.S. Person under applicable ITAR/EAR regulations

Preferred Qualifications

• Recruiting experience in aerospace, defense, aviation, unmanned systems, advanced manufacturing, engineering, or another regulated industry

• Experience recruiting for a startup, greenfield manufacturing facility, rapid-growth organization, or multi-site workforce

• Experience sourcing veterans, transitioning service members, cleared professionals, engineers, and skilled manufacturing talent

• Familiarity with federal-contractor requirements, affirmative action, OFCCP, E-Verify, ITAR/EAR, CUI, or security-clearance environments

• Experience with Rippling or a comparable applicant-tracking and HR information system

• Experience with recruiting analytics, compensation research, employer branding, career events, college recruiting, or military-transition partnerships

• SHRM-CP, PHR, AIRS, Certified Internet Recruiter, or comparable HR or recruiting certification
