Role Overview

Spearhead is expanding, and we are looking for reliable and hardworking Laborers to join our team and support the build-out of our new facility.

 

This is a hands-on role for someone who enjoys working outdoors, being part of a construction team, and contributing to a major expansion project. You will work alongside our construction and installation crews, helping keep the site organized, materials moving efficiently, and projects progressing safely.

 

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Assist construction crews with daily site activities and project tasks
  • Move, organize, and stage building materials, tools, and equipment
  • Support installation crews with material handling, preparation, and general labor tasks
  • Load and unload deliveries and assist with site organization
  • Help maintain a clean, safe, and efficient worksite
  • Assist with basic construction tasks as directed by site leads and tradespeople
  • Operate basic hand tools and equipment as require
  • Follow all safety procedures and contribute to a strong safety culture
  • Support the team with additional tasks as needed to keep the project moving forward

Qualifications, Knowledge, Skills, Attributes

  • Previous experience in construction, labor, manufacturing, or a similar hands-on environment is an asset
  • Physically capable of lifting, carrying, and moving materials throughout the workday
  • Comfortable working outdoors and in varying weather conditions
  • Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently and as part of a team
  • Strong work ethic and willingness to contribute wherever needed
  • Safety-conscious with attention to detail
  • Experience using hand tools and construction equipment is an asset
  • Forklift or equipment operating experience is an asset

 

Schedule and Working Conditions

  • Ability to work full-time, rotating shifts for term length
  • Ability to work on-site at Spearhead headquarters
  • Manual dexterity to operate a variety of tools on a regular basis
  • Ability to stand and move around the fabrication shop for work shifts
  • Ability to work in a workshop with exposure to dust, chemicals, and noise using required PPE, as needed
  • Ability to move and carry materials up to 30 lbs on a regular basis

 

Compensation

  • Pay rate is $33-$37 per hour commensurate with experience
  • 6% Vacation Pay
