Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:30am–5:00pm

Compensation: $25.00 – $30.00 per hour

Position Overview

STARK is seeking a Driver for our Morristown, NJ location. This role is the link between our showroom, our inventory, and our clients, handling deliveries, stock, and product presentation in the showroom and in client homes.

The ideal candidate is dependable, safety-minded, and professional, with a clean driving record, the physical ability to handle large rugs, and the care to represent STARK well in high-end residential settings.

Key Responsibilities

Driving & Deliveries:

• Drive a company van within a 2-hour radius of Morristown, NJ to deliver and pick up rugs and samples.
• Deliver, unroll, and position rugs in client homes, showing care for the client’s property at all times.
• Load and unload rugs in and out of the van, securing all product to prevent damage in transit.
• Assist with scheduling deliveries and pickups; communicate arrival times and any delays to the showroom team.
• Keep the van clean, organized, and properly maintained; report maintenance needs promptly.

Showroom Presentation & Client Support:

• Flip rugs in rug piles to present product to clients, designers, sales staff, management, and guests.
• Support Account Managers and the Showroom Manager during client appointments and showroom visits.
• Represent STARK professionally in every client-facing interaction, in the showroom and in client homes.

Stock & Inventory:

• Receive, inspect, and put away incoming rugs and samples; flag damage or discrepancies to the Showroom Manager.
• Keep rug piles, racks, and stock areas organized, clean, and easy to access.
• Track product moving between the showroom, client homes, and other locations so inventory stays accurate.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Job Requirements & Qualifications

Experience & Driving:

• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record required.
• Prior experience as a delivery driver, in warehouse or stock work, or in a showroom or retail setting preferred.
• Comfortable driving a van in the New York metro area and navigating residential deliveries.
• Basic computer and smartphone skills for scheduling, routing, and communication (Outlook, Teams).

Attributes & Physical Requirements:

• Pleasant, professional demeanor with strong communication and multi-tasking skills.
• Able to lift and move up to 50 lbs regularly and handle large rugs with a partner.
• Able to stand, bend, and carry for extended periods, including stairs in client homes.
• Reliable, punctual, and detail-oriented, with a commitment to handling luxury product with care.
