About the Role

We're looking for a hands-on Technical Product Manager to lead the execution of digital product initiatives for a veterinary health organization. You'll be deep in the day-to-day product work: writing user stories, owning and prioritizing the backlog, and coordinating across multiple engineering, product, and business teams to turn stakeholder needs into clear, actionable work for engineering.

We are looking for a generalist who understands a product end-to-end rather than owning one narrow feature area. You don't need to be an engineer, but you should be technical enough to understand integrations, APIs, and how interconnected systems communicate. Just as important, you'll want to get close to how the product is actually used in the wild, observing real user experiences and turning those insights into improvements, rather than managing everything from inside Jira. Clear communication is central to the job, since you'll regularly translate between technical and non-technical stakeholders and keep everyone aligned on progress, risks, and dependencies.

What You'll Do

• Lead execution of assigned product initiatives from planning through implementation
• Own the product backlog, prioritizing work based on business value, user needs, and technical dependencies
• Write clear user stories, acceptance criteria, business requirements, and product documentation
• Observe how the product is used in real-world settings and turn those observations, along with stakeholder needs, into actionable work for engineering
• Coordinate across multiple engineering, design, product, and business teams to deliver product enhancements and new capabilities
• Support product discovery, roadmap execution, and release planning for assigned products
• Evaluate technical solutions, third-party platforms, and system integrations, including how APIs and connected systems interact, to support product objectives
• Manage delivery milestones, risks, and dependencies for assigned initiatives
• Monitor product performance, analyze results, and recommend improvements based on data and user feedback
• Coordinate product releases, implementation activities, and post-launch validation
• Translate between technical and non-technical stakeholders, communicating progress, risks, dependencies, and delivery status
• Contribute to continuous improvement of product management processes and practices

What We're Looking For

Required:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field
• 4+ years of experience as a Technical Product Manager, Product Owner, or in a similar technical product or program management role
• Strong, hands-on experience writing user stories and acceptance criteria
• Proven experience owning and prioritizing a product backlog
• Strong understanding of the software development lifecycle
• Experience working with APIs, system integrations, third-party platforms, and interconnected systems (engineering background not required)
• Ability to understand and manage a product end-to-end across its systems and user workflows
• Comfortable coordinating across multiple engineering, product, and business teams
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a talent for translating between technical and non-technical audiences
• Familiarity with project management tools such as Jira, Asana, or similar
• Based in the United States (preferred)

Nice to Have:

• Experience with payment or credit card terminal integrations, particularly the software and integration layer connecting PIN pads and payment terminals to the broader application or platform (this is a major bonus, but not required)
• Experience using product analytics and user feedback to drive prioritization decisions
• Background in healthcare, veterinary, or other multi-location service businesses
