Project Manager

Role Overview

We are seeking a Project Manager with a strong background in agile delivery and client-facing project management to lead and deliver high-impact Shopify Plus implementations for our enterprise clients. At Teifi, our PMs operate as pod leaders, accountable for the delivery outcomes of a cross-functional team comprising a Technical Product Owner, Business Analysts, developers, and designers. This role carries full accountability for the client relationship, financial performance, and delivery success of every project you lead. You will keep your pod aligned, unblocked, and focused on delivering exceptional results for our enterprise clients.


Key Responsibilities

Client Management

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for client stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle
  • Lead regular client meetings to review project progress, timelines, and change requests
  • Manage communications with third-party partners and extended client teams
  • Own escalation management, identifying issues early and coordinating resolution across internal and client teams

Project Initiation

  • Lead project onboarding activities including post-sale scope validation, clarification sessions, and kickoff meetings
  • Define and align on project scope, SOW boundaries, and success criteria with clients and internal teams
  • Establish project governance including communication cadence, escalation paths, and decision-making processes
  • Plan and coordinate all Discovery activities including sessions, agendas, logistics, milestones, and team responsibilities
  • Ensure Discovery outputs are reviewed and signed off before delivery begins

Project Delivery

  • Build and maintain the end-to-end project schedule, managing workstreams, milestones, and dependencies, and communicating schedule adherence to both client and internal stakeholders
  • Monitor delivery progress, coordinate dependencies, and proactively remove blockers for the project team
  • Manage ongoing resource forecasting and allocation, reviewing team capacity on a rolling basis
  • Track and manage scope changes, owning the CR process from client request through assessment, approval, and implementation coordination
  • As the Scrum Master, facilitate agile ceremonies including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives
  • Measure, drive, and course correct on delivery metrics including schedule overrun, sprint velocity, stories passed QA first time, and forecast utilization

Financial Management

  • Track project budgets by phase and deliverable against SOW estimates, addressing variances proactively
  • Coordinate milestone-based invoicing and collections in alignment with MSA / SOW payment schedules
  • Ensure timesheet submissions and approvals are completed accurately and on time
  • Measure, drive, and course correct on financial metrics including actuals vs forecast budget, margin variance, weekly scope variance, and estimate at completion

Risk & Quality

  • Own the project RAID log, maintaining risk, assumption, issue, and decision tracking throughout the project
  • Develop and execute risk mitigation plans in collaboration with the project team
  • Oversee delivery quality, ensuring deliverables are reviewed and meet defined standards before client submission

Reporting

  • Produce and distribute weekly status reports for clients covering progress, schedule, risks, and next steps
  • Provide internal leadership reporting on project health, budget status, and delivery metrics

Team & Process

  • Hold pod members accountable to delivery commitments, coordinating priorities, resolving blockers, and ensuring the team operates effectively toward project goals
  • Coordinate and onboard cross-functional project team members throughout the project lifecycle
  • Collaborate with other pod leads and the broader delivery team on continuous improvement efforts, contributing to process discussions and retrospective reviews across pods
  • Act as a bridge between technical teams and non-technical stakeholders, ensuring clear communication and shared understanding

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience in project management, ideally within a digital agency or e-commerce implementation environment
  • Demonstrated experience managing complex, multi-workstream projects end to end
  • Strong understanding of agile delivery methodologies including Scrum and sprint-based delivery
  • Experience with budget tracking, resource forecasting, and financial reporting on client projects
  • Proven ability to manage client relationships, deliver difficult messages, and maintain trust under pressure
  • Familiarity with Shopify Plus is an asset; willingness to develop platform knowledge is required
  • Experience with project management and delivery tools such as Linear, Jira, Harvest, or equivalents
  • Exceptional organizational, communication, and stakeholder management skills
  • PMP, CSM, PMI-ACP, or equivalent certification is considered an asset
