Data Deliverables Specialist

About the role

The Data Deliverables Specialist supports the preparation, review, and completion of client data packages and electronic data deliverables (EDDs) generated from completed laboratory testing. This position requires a strong administrative and data-quality focus. Primary responsibilities include processing information, reviewing deliverables for completeness and accuracy, following client-specific requirements, maintaining organized records, and communicating with internal staff when information needs clarification or correction.


What you'll do:

  • Performs a completeness review of all deliverables (Data Packages, EDD) to verify compliance with client specifications
  • Assists with the assembly and review of CLP and CLP-like data packages according to client requirements.
  • Make routine corrections to EDDs and work with experienced staff when an issue requires additional assistance.
  • Organize, maintain, and track electronic files and information associated with data deliverables.
  • Enter, update, and verify information using computer systems, spreadsheets, and other department applications.
  • Communicate promptly with laboratory and other internal staff by email or phone when information is missing or clarification is needed.
  • Reviews information for consistency, completeness, and data integrity and escalates discrepancies that cannot be resolved through established procedures.
  • Identifies recurring errors, processing issues, and inefficiencies and recommends opportunities to improve data quality, consistency, and workflow efficiency.
  • Process Electronic Data Deliverables (EDD) in conformance with client specifications
  • Verifies the final product including troubleshooting and problem solving to address non-conformances in client deliverables
  • Validates the software output for accuracy, completeness, and conformance to client requirements
  • Prioritizes assigned deliverables and works within established deadlines to support accurate and on-time delivery of client data.
  • Explores and reviews alternate methods for deliverable development and/or generation to improve processing time
  • Respond promptly to internal inquiries via phone or email
  • Demonstrate and support GEL’s core values

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; college coursework or a degree is preferred.
  • Previous administrative, data-entry, laboratory, environmental, or quality-control experience is helpful but not required.
  • Attention to detail
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills
  • Comfortable using computers and learning new software applications.
  • Basic Microsoft 365 skills, including Outlook, Word, and Excel.
  • Basic math skills
  • Interest in learning SQL, PL/SQL, or other technical skills.

Working Environment & Physical Demands

Work is performed primarily in an office setting, though some laboratory time may be required. The role involves limited presence in laboratory areas with exposure to chemicals, fumes, gases, and odors typical of an analytical laboratory setting. Employees must be able to use standard office and laboratory equipment and maintain the stamina required to sit or stand for extended periods. The position requires the ability to occasionally lift, carry, push, or pull up to 20 pounds and frequently handle up to 10 pounds.
