About the Role

You have experience overseeing dynamic community spaces, including event logistics, building maintenance, program development, volunteer recruitment and engagement, and community center growth. You have a background leading fitness and social activities. You’re established in Philadelphia and have strong local ties. This role will be based in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania and will support the organization by helping to launch our new facility and scaling our local impact. The ideal candidate will have strong organizational and time management skills, will bring curiosity to problem-solving, and will have the ability to effectively navigate high-pressure situations with empathy. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Facility & Operations Management

• Operational oversight of physical space (cleanliness, safety, readiness) 
• Issue identification, reporting, and follow-through 
• Vendor and resource coordination 

Event & Program Management

• Coaching of fitness classes and social events
• Event scheduling and logistics coordination 
• Oversight of quality and safety standards 
• Performance tracking (attendance, quality scores, KPIs) 

Volunteer Recruitment and Engagement

• Recruitment and pipeline development (with diversity focus) 
• Onboarding and compliance (background checks, training, documentation) 
• Volunteer training
• Extensive ongoing volunteer engagement
• Database/CRM management (Salesforce tracking, record accuracy) 
• Retention strategy

Stakeholder and Partnership Management

• Community-building with the greater Philadelphia community, including SUD treatment centers
• Tours of community center as needed for donors, government officials, and media outlets
• Relationship cultivation with vendors and contractors
• Attendance at offsite events as needed

QUALIFICATIONS  

• 3+ years of relevant work or volunteer experience (facility management, volunteer management, program management, leadership, etc.)
• Technology proficiency and strong written and verbal communication skills
• Fitness certification, preferably in CrossFit, strength training or other gym-based fitness discipline
• Experience leading engaging fitness and social events for all levels
• Demonstrated local ties to Philadelphia, preferrable with at least one year of residence
• Reliable transportation and willingness to drive throughout the Philadelphia area as needed
• Ability to work onsite full-time, including some weekends and evenings

PREFERENCES

SALARY AND BENEFITS

• $70,000 - $75,000 annually (please be aware that most offers fall below the top of the range and are based on a variety of factors such as relevant experience and qualifications, internal equity among the team, and market indicators)

This role will be posted from Sept 3 until October 15 at 1 PM Eastern Time. Early applicants may be given preference if application volume is high.
