About the role

This isn't your typical Facilities Manager role.


You'll be responsible for leading facilities operations across our NSW portfolio while also helping build the systems, processes and standards that support our national growth. You'll have the opportunity to improve compliance, streamline maintenance operations, enhance contractor performance and implement scalable ways of working that will support new locations as we continue to expand.

What you'll do

You'll be responsible for:

  • Leading day-to-day facilities operations across our NSW locations.
  • Coordinating preventative and reactive maintenance to ensure our spaces remain safe, compliant and beautifully presented.
  • Managing contractor relationships and driving high standards of service delivery.
  • Strengthening facilities compliance, documentation and operational governance.
  • Owning maintenance workflows, ticket triage and facilities administration.
  • Developing preventative maintenance programs, asset registers and reporting.
  • Improving facilities systems, processes and operational ways of working.
  • Supporting new site openings, defect management and operational readiness.
  • Partnering closely with Community, Operations and Development teams to deliver an exceptional member experience.
  • Contributing to the ongoing evolution of The Commons' facilities function as the business grows.


You'll bring

  • Experience managing facilities across multiple commercial, hospitality, retail or coworking sites.
  • Strong knowledge of building maintenance, compliance and contractor management.
  • Experience improving operational processes and implementing systems.
  • A proactive mindset, with a focus on preventing issues rather than reacting to them.
  • Excellent organisational and stakeholder management skills.
  • The ability to balance strategic thinking with hands-on operational delivery.
  • A passion for creating exceptional environments for customers and teams.
