Fractional Family Office

Senior Advisor

Fractional Family Office is a wealth advisory firm based in Tampa, Florida, specializing in serving high-net-worth entrepreneurs and business owners. We focus on the areas where business owners need the most help: minimizing taxes, structuring their businesses properly, protecting assets, coordinating estate plans, and managing their investments effectively. Our clients are building substantial wealth through their businesses, and they need a firm that understands both the personal and business sides of their financial lives. We operate with systematic processes, clear accountability, and a team-first culture where everyone is committed to delivering exceptional results for clients.

About the role

In this role, the Senior Advisor owns the client relationship and the advisory work for a specific set of assigned clients. You'll be accountable for keeping those clients and advising them: making the recommendations on investments, insurance, tax strategy, and entity structure, recommending the right professionals for their team, and making sure every promise made to them is delivered by your support team. You will start with an assigned book and receive additional clients as the firm grows. Introductions you make from your own network are welcome and go through FFO's sales team.

The expectations are high from day one. Firm leadership hands you the relationships and expects you to run them. You will have one month to get up to speed on your clients, our process, and your team. After that, you run.

What you'll do

  • Own the advisory relationship for your assigned clients, including quarterly and annual planning meetings, the hard conversations, and being the person the client calls when something goes wrong
  • Own the annual roadmap for each client, deciding what goes into each quarter and in what order
  • Recommend and select the tax strategies, entity structures, investments, and insurance coverage for each client, with clear reasoning behind every recommendation, and decide when a strategy no longer fits as circumstances change
  • Give clients who bring you investment opportunities a clear answer with reasoning
  • Recommend the right CPAs, attorneys, and other professionals for each client's team, and coordinate with them until strategies are executed
  • Direct your support team, hold them to every commitment made to the client, and review the work before it reaches the client
  • Identify the additional services each client needs across insurance, investments, tax, entities, and estate, recommend them without it feeling like a pitch, and earn referrals
  • Make introductions from your own network to FFO's sales team, who bring them through the process, and work with those clients once they join
  • Monitor the health of each relationship, catch drift before the client raises it, and own retention
  • Take on new client assignments as the firm grows while holding the same standard across a larger book
  • Document every client interaction and decision in WealthBox and follow the firm's systematic processes

Qualifications

  • Has built a book of business elsewhere and wants to spend their time advising and serving clients instead of splitting it with hunting for new business
  • Is intrapreneurial: wants to build a book of business within the firm
  • Prioritizes outcomes and keeps every promise made to a client
  • Has strong wealth planning knowledge in the business owner space and has advised business owners directly
  • Takes point in a relationship without being told to and is the single point of accountability for the outcome
  • Sees the full picture, thinks several steps ahead, and understands how each piece of work connects to the client's plan
  • Pushes every project to done and does not wait for someone else to follow up
  • Can be up to speed within one month and runs without hand-holding
  • Delegates with clear expectations and holds a support team to a high standard
  • Explains complex ideas clearly to business owners who do not live in this world
  • Thrives in a structured environment with high standards and defined processes

A Bachelor's degree and the CFP® designation are required, along with an active Series 65 or Series 66 license. Candidates must have 5 or more years of experience working with business owners in the financial services space. Candidates must be located in Tampa or willing to relocate within the next month. Experience building and managing a book of business is strongly preferred.

Fractional Family Office provides medical, dental, and vision insurance, along with 16 to 22 days of paid time off per year based on tenure, 7 sick days, and paid company holidays. We support professional development through certifications, continuing education, and training opportunities. This is an in-person role based in our Tampa office.

Compensation is $150,000 to $165,000, base plus quarterly bonus tied to the revenue of the clients you manage.

This is a senior client advisory role. Advisors who retain their clients, keep their teams delivering, and grow the relationships in their book will be assigned additional clients as the firm grows and will take on greater responsibility in how the firm serves clients.

This is not an active new-client sales role. The firm handles sales, and introductions you make go through our sales team and process. This role is not responsible for every client at the firm, only the clients assigned to it or introduced by it, and does not manage firm-wide operations, technology systems, or compliance administration.

Fractional Family Office is committed to merit-based hiring. All employment decisions are based on qualifications, experience, and demonstrated capability.
