Senior Product Manager

ThoughtSpot is a Data & AI platform that helps companies turn data into enterprise advantage. We're Gartner MQ leaders with more than 1,000 customers globally and offices in Mountain View, Chicago, London, Bangalore, Sydney, and Tokyo.

The Role:

Connectors are the foundation of everything ThoughtSpot does. Every search, every Spotter answer and every embedded dashboard runs as a live query against a customer's cloud data warehouse — so how we connect, authenticate, generate SQL and interpret the customer's semantic layer directly shapes performance, cost, trust and adoption.

As Senior Product Manager – Connectors, you will own ThoughtSpot's portfolio of 30+ data connections, from the top cloud data platforms (Snowflake, Databricks, Google BigQuery, Amazon Redshift) to databases, query engines and our generic JDBC connector. You'll partner closely with engineering in Hyderabad, our technology partners, and the field to decide what we build, what we don't, and why.

What You'll Do:

  • Own the connector strategy and roadmap. Decide where to invest across 30+ connections based on customer demand, revenue impact and query volume — most usage concentrates on a handful of platforms, so depth beats breadth.
  • Go deep on the top cloud data platforms. Make ThoughtSpot the best analytics experience on Snowflake, Databricks, BigQuery and Redshift: SQL generation, query performance and cost, and support for new platform capabilities as they launch.
  • Lead enterprise-grade authentication and security. Drive OAuth, key-pair, service-principal and identity passthrough (SSO from ThoughtSpot to the warehouse) so the largest, most regulated customers can connect securely.
  • Partner with the ecosystem. Work with product and partner teams at Snowflake, Databricks, Google, AWS, Microsoft and others on joint roadmaps, certifications, documentation and launches.
  • Be the connectors expert for the field. Help sales, solutions engineering and customer success with customer escalations, feature requests and technical deep dives; turn what you hear into clear, prioritized requirements.
  • Ship with engineering. Write crisp PRDs, define acceptance criteria, manage the backlog and drive releases end to end with engineering, design, docs and product marketing.
  • Measure what matters. Define and track connector adoption, reliability, query performance and customer satisfaction, and use the data to steer the roadmap.

What You Bring:

  • 4+ years of product management experience in B2B SaaS, with at least 2 years on data infrastructure, BI/analytics or developer-facing platform products
  • Hands-on knowledge of at least one major cloud data platform (Snowflake, Databricks, BigQuery or Redshift) and how BI tools query it
  • Strong technical depth: you write SQL fluently, understand JDBC/ODBC drivers, query pushdown and performance trade-offs, and can hold your own in architecture discussions
  • Working knowledge of enterprise authentication and security patterns — OAuth 2.0/OIDC, SSO, key-pair auth, service principals and role-based access control
  • A track record of shipping platform or integration features end to end, from discovery and PRD to launch and adoption
  • Sound judgment on prioritization: you weigh one-off customer asks against broad product value and communicate decisions clearly to customers and the field
  • Excellent written and verbal communication, and comfort working across time zones with teams in India, the US, Europe and Australia
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related field, or equivalent experience

Bonus Points:

  • Experience with semantic layers and metrics stores — dbt Semantic Layer/MetricFlow, Snowflake Semantic Views, Databricks Metric Views, LookML or AtScale
  • Prior work at a cloud data platform, BI vendor or data integration company, or building connectors/drivers yourself
  • Familiarity with lakehouse and open table formats (Unity Catalog, Iceberg, Delta) and emerging platforms such as Microsoft Fabric
  • Exposure to how LLMs and AI agents generate SQL over enterprise data, and what makes that accurate and governed
  • Experience managing technology partnerships or co-selling motions with hyperscalers
  • Background as a software engineer, data engineer or solutions engineer
