A Secure Future Academy is looking to hire full- and part-time Assistant Lead Teachers Childcare.

What are the hours like?

  • Monday through Friday, either:
    • 7:30am - 3:30pm
    • 8:00am - 4:00pm, or
    • 10:00am - 6:00pm

What are the duties and responsibilities?

  • Support the Lead Teacher in implementing engaging, developmentally appropriate classroom activities and lesson plans.
  • Foster a positive learning environment by actively engaging with children and encouraging exploration, creativity, and social development.
  • Maintain a safe, clean, organized, and welcoming classroom environment.
  • Provide active supervision to ensure the health, safety, and well-being of all children.
  • Assist with classroom documentation, child records, and developmental observations as assigned.
  • Support daily routines, including meals, snacks, transitions, outdoor play, and classroom setup.
  • Build positive relationships with children, families, and coworkers through professional and respectful communication.
  • Assist with family communications, classroom updates, and parent engagement activities.
  • Participate in staff meetings, coaching sessions, and professional development opportunities.
  • Maintain compliance with program standards, licensing regulations, training requirements, and organizational policies.
  • Demonstrate a commitment to professional growth and continued development in the field of early childhood education.


What are the required qualifications?

  • High School Diploma or GED required. CDA credential or enrollment in CDA/AA program in ECE required (or within 6 months of hire for Level 1).
  • 0–4 years of experience in early childhood education depending on tier level.
  • Genuine commitment to children, families, and continuous professional growth.
  • Ability to work respectfully and collaboratively as part of a teaching team.
  • Current clearances (PA State Police, ChildLine, FBI, NSOR), health appraisal, and Mandated Reporter training. CPR/First Aid preferred.
  • Active PD Registry profile required within 90 days of hire.
