About the role

The Case Planning Intern will support the Case Planning Operations Specialist with a targeted replacement campaign designed to identify opportunity areas for financial advisors.  This role provides hands-on exposure to annuity case planning operations, data analysis, and advisor support in a fast-paced financial services environment.  The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, organized, and interested in learning how strategic case planning supports advisor success.

What you'll do

  • Develop a working understanding of annuity products and carriers.
  • Use resources like Annuity Rate Watch and Index Standard to stay informed about available products and carriers.
  • Coordinate with the Case Planning Operations Specialist to understand the requirements for identifying replacement opportunities.
  • Compile book of business reports using information from carrier websites and Microsoft Excel.
  • Build out spreadsheets and formulas to expedite and enhance the process of identifying replacement opportunities.
  • Support data gathering, validation, and organization related to client cases and replacement analyses.
  • Maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive client and advisor information with care.
  • Provide general administrative and operational support to the Case Planning team as needed. 

Learning Opportunities

  • Experience supporting advisor-facing initiatives and campaigns.
  • Development of analytical, organizational, and professional communication skills.
  • Insight into how operational support drives advisor efficiency and client outcomes.

Qualifications

  • Currently pursuing a degree in finance, business, economics, or a related field
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office tools
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work independently while also collaborating with a team

Bonus Points

  • Interest in financial planning, insurance, or wealth management
  • Experience working with data, spreadsheets, or reporting tools
  • Prior internship or administrative experience in a professional setting
